I called protegegarage but they are sold out but will call me back on monday if they can find one.

Is there any where else that I can consider as back up if they cant get one?

I would like for it to be about the same price as they offer obviously.

thanks

Try Ron Tonkin. They are a vendor and did a group buy as well recently on another Mazda forum.

found it finally on accident, their web site isnt very good for looking up items.

It is cheaper then $310 but they charge shipping making it more then protege garage.

Went with Showcase Mazda for $300 shipped since never got a PM or call back from protege garage.

Tiffany at showcase was very proffesional and the process was as it should be when I offer money to people, lol.

Seriously she was very nice and answered all my calls and sent email confirmations and everything.

So do i just call Showcase Mazda and ask for Tiffany? Or do I go thru the parts department. Heck I cnat even find the darn thing in there online store

I got a discount on parts from my dealer. It was 15% of list of $335. You might see if your dealer will give you a coupon for an oil change. Gotta pay for an oil change, but you need a few of those anyway.

I called the dealership and asked for her in the parts dept and said that I was told she has CAI's for $300 shipped. She said this is true and asked my user name on the fourm and for all the billing/shipping info ect. She then sent me an email with a page to print, fill out, sign and fax back to her to authorize a credit card sale via telephone.

She was the best and answered each of my calls and my email this AM with in 30 min time. I made dbl dble sure that it was the speed3 CAI not the mazda 3 intake and she pretty much said she knew what I was talking about, lol.

My name is Brian Drake and I would just tell her that you heard good things about the sale and are a member of the forum as well and it will be all good.

her numer is

You should have called Josh at Tonkin directly... Just because a website posts one thing does not mean that is the bottom line price. If you called and told him you were a forum member, you would have paid $310 shipped.

I have done business with Tiffany @ Showcase.....super prices and great service.

I mean you can not beat $300.00 shipped on her CAIs.

Its not the price you cant beat its her customer service that is unusual in this date/time.

She answers emails same day and phone calls each time I called that dealership. As a matter of fact I just got her thank you email which was not a generic email thanking me for the purhcase and hoping I like my new CAI.

For a $10 savings and that type of service you are in good hands. Hell people like that I pay extra to if they are that good with customer service. Sometimes its not about the dollar but in this case its a win win situation so check it out is all I can say.

PS love my CAI man this thing is killer. It was at the local dealer today for that rear loose sway bar nut and they asked me about the CAI and where I got it and I told them, lol. They had it for $400+ at the parts dept.

Thanks I can not wait to get mine now. I hear the power increase is nice.

Some say you cant feel the power but I tell you what you can feel how much more responsive it is when you touch the throttle. That alone and the sound are well worth the upgrade but as for power I think I can tell it has more but that could be the bad ass sound it makes and the increased response at the wheels.

Thanks. Ok I wish I had the money to get it dynoed now and then again after the intake is installed. Beggers can't be choosers though.
