Where is the Intake Air temp Sensor located exactly?

2500 rpm's is the usual shift range on a 5 speed manual and when i had the X2 chip installed i was able to drive and shift up to 5500 rpm's which gave me more distance in shifting which gave the car more Torque.

I'm confused, I don't have an X2 chip and I can easily shift at 5500 RPM. What do you actually think this chip did?

Oddly enough, the torque curve for the FS is pretty flat and falls off at the high end. You'll have more power at high-rpm but not necessarily more torque ... unless you have a turbo that you're not telling us about.

The "usual" shift range on a 5 spd is what ever you want it to be, if you couldn't shift past 2500rpms on your car is because something is wrong with your car

Hey Sp if you like X2 performance so much then you should like this. I found this Video for you on how to install the X2 Performance chip check it out. This video is from X2 performance. I didn't make this Video X2 performance company did. click this link here to watch the video ----------->>>> http://youtu.be/G-6OlAdaYNY

Here you go Pal . Here's a video with proof that the IAT sensor is located right near the Firewall basically off the Throttle body intake tube . This is X2 performance chip install on a MK3 GTI click here and enjoy the show! ---------------> http://youtu.be/G-6OlAdaYNY

I never said i couldn't shift past 2500. But with out racing your Motor the common Shift Range is 2500 RPM"s anything lower than that and you would be Lugging your Motor and not producing enough Oil pressure which is usually bad. It's really not What ever you want it to be because lets just say that somebody Red lines it at every Gear like at 900 rpms that would be pretty dumb because eventually you would burn out the Rings on your Motor and damage your Motor. 2500 is a basic safe shift point that isnt Straining the Motor or lugging it either!

I don't have a Turbo. I just think the Chip gave me i little more Torque in between shifting gears. The Take off response time was quicker in my Shifting that's all.

that video just proved exactly what everyone else was saying. Thats not by the firewall, thats on the ******* intake tube. You are a huge idiot.

i think i got dumber by watching that video. either way dude i have an mp3 so i have an actual TUNED ecu not some bs chip that changes the intake temp and there really isnt that much of a power difference from the ecu alone which actually advances the timing. im sorry that your an idiotic moron thats been too shelterd and never been told you were wrong. granted you may have just thought you had a power increase but you didnt

Here's a thought... You are trying to make your car think it's winter all the time...

EPIC WINTER HP MOD!!
