2500 rpm's is the usual shift range on a 5 speed manual and when i had the X2 chip installed i was able to drive and shift up to 5500 rpm's which gave me more distance in shifting which gave the car more Torque.
I'm confused, I don't have an X2 chip and I can easily shift at 5500 RPM. What do you actually think this chip did?
Oddly enough, the torque curve for the FS is pretty flat and falls off at the high end. You'll have more power at high-rpm but not necessarily more torque ... unless you have a turbo that you're not telling us about.
