Where can I get a roof rack?

Please answer this question for a newbie to the group.

I bought my Protege5 today. Side air bags & ABS were a must for me. The dealer couldn't find one with this package in the color I wanted with a roof rack. They also told me that the roof rack could only come installed from the factory. In other words, they'd be happy to install it, but they couldn't get one. I find this quite rediculous, but couldn't do anything about it there.

I really want a roof rack. What are my options for getting one? I would prefer a new one, but might be open to a new one if it was in pristine condition.

Any replies would be appreciated. And, my apologies if this is posted in the wrong place.

If you can;t get one through your local mazda dealer, check out the for sale section in the forums. I think I saw one or two for sale.

not sure if i buy the dealer's story or not. I would check with another to see if you get the same line or not. If not, I would go back and b**** at the orginal dealer

If you are coming to atlanta for nopi you can have mine. The only catch is that my racks have dry wax on it but other than that they are in perfect condition. Just pm me if you want them. Oh yeah I have to get my filler strips first, but if everything goes as planned that should be taken care of next month. Nopi is on sept. 20-21.
