When to change spark plugs?

Hey Guys,

I just had a 30K service at a local Mazda dealer in Burlingame,Ca. They didn't change the plugs and told me that only at 60K do they change platinum plugs. This seems to differ from the small manual that I got when I bought the MSP four years ago; the manual recommends change of plugs at 30,000 miles. Any ideas?

screw it .. change them. There not expensive and you can do it yourself and it would take you like 20mins if that. I change mine every 50k and the wires at 100k. I'd stick with the manual then listen to the service people. Whats 20 bucks?
