whats your least favorite sport compact?

uhh. you can get RWD SR20DEs for $700-900 for the engine, tranny, harness and ECU. if youre going to upgrade the turbo anyway, this is the way to go.

my car made 462whp on the stock 9.5:1 CR motor. the only mod to the motor itself was a set of mild tomei cams. this was at 24 psi of boost.

NO sentra or G20 came with an SR20VE. this is a VVL engine, nissan's equivalent to VTEC. these engines made 190hp stock. there were N1 1.6L versions that made over 230 hp, and revved to 8500 rpm, stock. all G20s and SE-Rs came with SR20DEs, with the exception of the Spec V, which comes with a QR25DE.

FWD japanese junker motors go for $300 a pop. stop by many of the japanese engine importers in LA area and you can get one too. no need for Jesus to accompany you.

just to clarify...the stock 1.6L N1's you'd buy at the dealer were actually ~160hp..the 230hp were the actually tuned race car motors

I drive a beige 2004 sunfire for the moment, while my car is being repaired.
Sunfire = piece of crap

Even the z24 cavi is lame, you ever seen the interior on that thing? Oh man, shoot me with a beige gun.

Neon SXT sucks so bad. Just because you think it is an SRT-4 then realize it isn't, what a let down, haha.

suzuki aerio. chevrolet aveo, kia ria cinco and (sorry veedub owners) the volkswagon golf - just something imperceptible about it i just do not like

I love the Golfs. Ah well...I hate Protege sedans, the tail lights look like a kia or something.

So do you hate Jaguar SOLELY because their headlights look like a Hyundai?

Kia copied us =P

Yes. I also hate the "lower" Jaguar because it's basically a fancy Ford Taurus with wood grain and a cat on the hood.

no. they had a regular SR16VE and they had the N1 version. the N1 version was EXTREMELY rare, but a factory nissan engine it is, and could be checked off on the options list.

there are also 20V versions (they just called them that, they still had 16 valves) of the SR20VE that made over 200 hp (not sure exactly how much). these hada really trick 4-1 header with a 3" merge collector with some really nice scavenging features built in.

this is only restating what i said...consumers could buy the normal 160hp version but the N1 spec with the race tuned engine (nissan factory) was not available to regular consumers (nissan got to choose who bought them)

It's amazing that just a few years ago,I used to love them but it's gotta be Civics.Oh,also PT Shitters,Focuses(U.S.)Bettles and Cavs.Basically all the cars, that are not Japanese, people modify.

Least favorites:
1. Civic Si. Its a Civic and a Honduh and a great deal of people who drive them are somewhat annoying asshats and usually have the automotive sense of a toad.Besides its not up to par with its competitors and is a letdown from the old Si's. Honda needs to bring the CTR in Europe and then we'll talk.
2. 3G Eclipse. Its a lame V6 stuffed in a whale suit body that isnt nimble and cant corner. Like the Si a BIG letdown from its earlier iteration. Some cars can turn(MSP), some cars are fast..this cars cant do either. The 3G is like the fat chick in the club with a "look at me" fancy dress, but cant get the guys (car enthusiasts in the parallelism) to talk to her or take her seriously.
3. Scions. Ugly, no suspension, no real sense of performance. WTF? I dont like Toyota from an emotional standpoint anymore..they need a sportscar and performance vehicles and not only vanilla boxes. Itll make money and get non enthusiast guys and college girls to buy them but still ultimately IMHO I would want my core fans of the brand to be enthusiasts, similar to what Mazda has been trying to do in the past few years.

Without a doubt as others have stated base lancers are horrible. I would take an Aerio SX over it any day.
