whats your least favorite sport compact?

the Sentra SE-Rs and G20s had the SR20VEs. those were really nice engines. the KA24 is a great engine for turbocharging if done correctly. SR20DET engines are not $300. you've got hookups if you can get it for that cheap, and if it were, it's probably just the block, head, and crank, minus pistons and rods and any hardware needed to run the engine. you can get a decent complete engine for $650 (my friend is trying to complete his own swap right now). a whole front clip from a silvia is $1500-$3000 depending on the year and mileage. my friend's stock 240SX suspension doesn't handle as well as my miata, but it does have great turn-in, response, and not too much oversteer. blah blah blah blah blah blah blah

my least favorite sport compact car is: celica gt/gt-s. why ? too many damn girl drivers (no offense to them) that take the car, put on an exhaust, girly ass stickers and flower designs on the car, and drive like they own the road.

this girl that works at my job has a bad ass celica. i also work with her boyfriend so he helps her, but it is still pretty sweet

I kind of agree with you here. I don't really like the celica, also how half the dash lights up red, and the other half green is really lame.

The Celica's remind me of Godzilla (new age one) for some reason. The jaw?

S13's are sweetness..problem with the SR20DET swaps into 240's..it costs a s*** load to do it RIGHT..not..i put a beat ass SR in and now i have a silvia deals..A fresh black top SR20DET doesn't cost 300$..ever..anywhere..even jesus couldn't get on that cheap that is in great shape..i mean why buy a beat ass motor? My buddy's just finished his RB swap into his 240..spent quite a bit of pocket change..but it is so god damn fast..

If you consider the Cavalier, I have to say the Pontiac Sunfire.
Yup. Honestly, the Z24 isn't all THAT ugly, and it's got good power. But, as is the case with most American "performance-oriented" vehicles, it handles like s***. My wife had a 2000 Z24 that I was "priveledged" enough to drive while she had the 5 for about 9 months, and I didn't really mind it, until I tried taking it 'crossing through the local office park. Thing felt like it would roll over in a sharp turn...................Also, the interior fit and finish was crap, not to mention cheap looking and feeling. Otherwise, not bad enough to say I hate it.

That being said, I can't of what my least favorite would be right now...........

Pontiac and Chevy=ass in the sport compact realm, IMHO.. Having owned and regretted owning a sunfire, and worked on many cavaliers, the fit & finish is terrible, and even if they have power, as some models do, they still handle like ass... And the neons are just ugly, in addition to the other issues with american cars.

Well, I never said they were a "contender", as they obviously do have issues. But I'll say this....It would most assuredly be easier to get those J-bodies to handle than it would be to get power out of an FS (N/A, anyhow). But yeah, the F+F sucks and lends a cheap feel as well. And the seats in the Z24 offer NO support whatsoever. And as far as those Goodyear "Screaming Eagles"..........

Oh, and in your "Body Count" stat.........39 Soldiers, not 29. If it were 1, it would suck!

You once again show your lack of knowledge on the sr20 but doesn't keep the mouth from running.

I'd take a 240 over just about any "sport compact" out there. I'd mod the hell out of it and probably put a skyline engine in it, but hell, that's what they're designed for in the first place. I love my protege, but I'm under no illusions that it's slow. That fastest MSP's among us only run 13s. It's a slow car, but DAMN does it look good!

Finally, someone who agrees that the '00 up Z24 (5 speed) isnt all that bad......and please dont get me wrong, the interior is crap and it handles like s***.....but you take any n/a sport compact against it in the quarter mile (svt focus, civic si, spec v, or the turbo'd mazdaspeed etc.) in stock form, and yo ass is eating domestic torque and getting whooped.

Worst sport compact: sunfire............cavalier is a close second.
