my friend had a 350WHP civic and that was on low boost(12psi) at 30 psi we estimated it to be around 550+ but never had a chance to run it at high boost due to it being stollen.
now tell me how many of you can smoke any car you see on the streets. there wasnt a single car thet we raced the even came close....dinan M5's, m3's anything whould get eaten ALIVE...we tried to race a viper on the freeway but the guy whouldn race us. and a car that has better power to weight ratio then an ENZO ferrari for about 25K is Fing AWsome,

so people dont rag on the Civic unless youve been in one that has Go and not all Rice and shot s***. actualy before my friend had the civic i hated hondas, now if i could i whould trade my MP5 for a turbo EG or EK w/ a b18C1 and internals any day.

and the person who said the he hates the 240...you dont know what a good car is even if it hit you in the face...only if you knew the history of the car then you whould lern to appreciate it.....


Cavalier is the Worst compact ever...actualy the J-body and the Neon(yes the SRt4 is a NEon)

A brief history of the 240sx.

-It comes to the US in 1989, no one cares. It has a truck motor.

-Some crappy anime comes out, suddenly it's the coolest 16 second car since the civic. The bandwagon begins....ten years late.

-People buy bent exhausts and hard compound tires to drift in empty parking lots at car meets.

-A few guys put SR20's in. The ricers are overwhelmed and all swear they will have an SR20 also...at the end of summer when they save up their paychecks from Burger King.

true. the 240 is just like the civic. there are some bad ass ones, but most suck. so does that mean just because someone has a bad ass 240 or civic that they ALL kick ass? what if i took a metro, and dropped a 440 in it, and ran 6's in the 1/4...does that mean that everyone should respect metros?

Some 240's are interesting. A "friend" of mine put an LT1 in his. Sad thing is, even with a mild cam in it, that s*** was still slow.

a 240 WILL always be more of a sports car then our protere...was the protege ment to be a sports car when it came out...hell no...was the 240 yes..o yeah the 240sx is only over hear. in other parts of the world where cars can still be cars w/o the carb s***. its called the 180SX/ silvia.

I'm aware that they are 180sx's in other countries. A different name badge isn't going to make it any better to me. Why not talk about the 280? Its only claim to fame is people can put 350's in them.

In no way did I compare a Protege to a 240. Same s***, different pile. Funny thing though, I raced a 240/180/silvia a few days ago on the highway...lost to a P5. Ouch, didn't know sports cars ran 17's....

lern about other car companies exept the ones you own...then youl realize that MAZDA only has the RX-7/8 and the miata...all of its other cars are s***.

i was going to put money into my MP5. but then i realized that its a bad platform to do anything to....lets put on a turbo kit, oh s*** i blew my tranny up....lets see if i can get a better trann. o s*** i cant.....yeah it might handle good, but you can get any desent Sports compact and get some coilovers and it will handle as good as a protege w/ coilovers.

im not trying to be a hater...but it pisses me of when people like you act like Ricers saying that there car is the only descent car. yeah maby 1 out of every 50 civics is actualy fast and not rice but that all good. in my friends civic he had hubcaps and rust spots on his 1993 hatchback, but it didnt matter when we embaresed a buy who bought a brand new E46 M3 earlier that day, and he got smoked by a civic w. hubcaps and rust spots.

I know plenty about other cars. That's why I raced a 240. (rlaugh)

I don't know much about Mazdas, I'm a Honda guy. The P5 was a great compromise between a truck and a car. Great for me to finish my last year of college with.
