crazy story so my friend owns a 2006 mazda 3 and got his first oil change in 24,ooo miles!! after that oil change it started making some like clanking noise everytime he stepped on the throttle!! now the car is in mazdas hands!! and its not goign to be covered in warranty!! as soon as i heard i had to share it to the world...(not in a mean way). :)
 
Whoa, I'd say that engine is pretty robust. It probably had no oil left or the oil was a thick sludge.

I would venture to say that the clanking isn't because of the oil change.
 
yeah i know!! my friend told me he heard it before but it wasn't that noticeable and now its like super loud lol i just cant believe he didnt take care of his car!!! haha
 
Wow! I once knew a girl who only changed her oil when the oil light came on. That's what it means, right? lol
 
No offense, but your friend needs to learn how to take care of his things better! I feel guilty going 5K between oil changes!

P.S.- To answer the original question... the worst thing that happened to my 3 was that somebody backed into it in a parking lot about 5 weeks after I bought it. Had to have the rear bumper replaced and the fender straightened! (pissed)

Try getting t-boned by an F-150 going 45 mph, then we can talk about bad things that have happened in a Mazda3.

and in my old 3 some lady rear ended me good goign about thrity five mph!!

09 m3.. hit and run

2 weeks after having my 09 m3 itouring, someone hit my car in my school parking lot while i was in class and just took off! i need a new fender, and still have to pay the $500 deductible thru my insurance! ahhhhh (jerkit)

in some cars it does




the worst thing that happened to mine was a few weeks after buying it the car next to me in the parking garage caught itself on fire and melted mine a little bit. $5000 later it was back up and running, cosmetic damage only. the annoying part is that i had to file it with my insurance and my company was not able to subrogate to get me my money back. i've since changed insurance companies
