2002 Mazda Protege 5
Just bought a 500$ 02 protege 5 , the struts are gone, looking for every ones input to types of struts which are good and the Bad. (braindead

You just bought a $500 so why would you want to put premium or the best struts on it? Go with OEM, KYB who makes many OEM struts & shocks or something else that won't break the bank. I've had numerous sets of KYB's and never had one problem with them.

why buy a mazda when you can buy a camaro?

I love Camaros , but anyways .. When you need a car that can duke it out here in the North or shall i say , Eastern Canada of cours your gonna need some sort of suspension that can do the job eh. Well if anyone has brand names, low brands, shoot out all you can think off ... I'm in the right place for this , eh

Tokico
Kyb
Stagg
Monroe ( these are bad do not buy)

That's probly about all the manufacturers that make them for our cars

There is no point in owning a camaro unless you have a mullet, and there's no point in owning a mustang if your ego can fit in it. If you don't have those require ments it would be like shaq driving a smart car

I was refering to the new Camaros. I like the originals RS/SS, Z28 etc from the late 60s. I love my Mustang and me and my ego fit just fine in it. Never had a mullet or the desire to have one. One of the dumbest hair styles ever!

I was joking, I like the 60s and 80s. Not a fan of the new ones. But most people with mustangs think their car is the fastest thing on the street but I wouldn't own one, I only like the 60s fast backs, the fox body's, and 10+, 94-2009 was hideous. I WAS gona make a comment about having to have a small penis for a big truck/diesel, but I didn't want to offend anyone

Cool and Funny guys .. Thanks for all the INFO .. Yeah 60's and 80's are nice.
Oh well , Just keep brain storming of strut manufacturers .. I'm sure some other guys or gals will find this informative ..

The only one that lists anything for a protege is moton. They're steel so heavy and probly more expensive than coilovers

You really can't beat tokicos for performance, and they allow for a drop. I recently justbought a set of tokico ilk series spring and strut set up. Love my newer setup. GL, with your search.
