what you think of this setup

CAI, Reloc. MAF, BOV, hotpipe and 1 cat @ stock psi

now i have jut the colad air but my bpv was broke and i gona check all the option.


But wat is yur opinion about this setup
 
sounds pretty safe. Might want to dyno it to get and idea of where your afr's are if you've relocated the maf already. I don't plan on doing it until I have tuning capabilities.
 
I have done this exactly, however with the cold air intake on at mid throttle the car does not run correctly once it is hot. I would add a afc and some tuning to the list and not bother with the relocation of the maf.
 
not really sure what kind of reply you are searching for...
but it looks like a safe, smooth setup. The car should run well, and while a little better than stock, you won't see much of a performance gain if that's what you are asking. Just some nice sounds from the intake and bov :)

That's pretty much what I had for about a year. It was running fine and I prefer the MAF in its relocated position.

When you say you're going to run 1 cat, do you mean you're going to buy a new downpipe? If so, get an aftermarket exhaust, too. You'll get some power from the midpipe by itself, but the stock exhaust will bottleneck exhaust flow noticeably.
 
eh i dunno...the catback ain't that bad. especially not for light mods. it's definitely always a good idea to free it up, but you're not in a horrible position as many will lead you to believe.

You can but you won't benefit as much as you would if you relocated the maf. I've ran a forge bov for a couple years, with no problems with stalling. Some people have luck running a bov only without relocating or running a dual setup and some don't.

I'm kinda over the venting bov's deal, I'll prob go back to recirculating with a better than stock valve some day

BOVs are a waste of money for this car. Just stick with the stock BPV or upgraded BPV. I dont know why everyone is so obsessed with getting their car to make whistly sounds. BOVs generally hurt performance on this car because of the maf...is it really worth the trouble of running a dual setup or relocating the maf just so when you drive past someone you car can make a cool sound?

also "relocalise" is not a real word..."relocate" however is a different story...
 
there is no proof whether purging is either good or bad for the turbo, a lot of people will swear bad but no proof.

and i don't see how a bov would hurt performance? air would just vent out quicker...
 
bov hurts because by venting that air the engine surges rich between shifts, bogging/flooding the engine which temporarily chokes it in the higher gear. our cars don't like it.

See 1moreMPHs post above...BOV and the maf in our cars are not the best combination...you vent that air to the atmosphere and **** up the maf's metered air reading.
 
if you relocate the maf to be after the bov, it will be better. And again, it's not TERRIBLE -- ive driven a few with this setup and it's not like it's BAD. It's a relatively minor thing, but technically speaking a bpv is better for performance than a bov.

personally, i do love the psssst of a bov (yes i know, flame away :)). So if i could i would relocate and vent or run the dual setup...but that's just personal preference and me wishing i had money to spend on useless s***.
