I'd still buy this car. I was going to buy a Civic Si when I bought the MP3. But then I just happened to find this MP3 thing on a website. I basically got everything I would've done to the Si (rims, suspension, stereo) and a brand new car for a few grand more than a used 2000 Si was going for back then.

Yeah, its got some issues - actually just one issue - the clunk. Annoying as it is, its not a horrible issue to have compared to some other cars.

I agree chris, the cluck is it, but look at all the recalls and problems with the focus, imagine we bought svt focus's.

I would have still bought it..If i knew that a mazdaspeed was comming out..I would have bought that instead.. OR a long shot a mini cooper S. I love my MP3 its still fun to drive everyday I am in it. Pete

imo...i was looking at a lot of different cars when i saw the mp3 but i just loved the styling and the color just stuck out over all the other cars. and for as much as you got stock w/the car...you cant go wrong...just wish they would have made it turbo back in 2k1

I was going to get a Protege 5 when I walked into the dealer. Saw the MP3 and got it instead.

I really wanted the MP3, but figured I would never see one, so I was willing to settle for the Protege 5. Luck was on my side that day.

And I don't have any problems. I knew what i was getting into before I bought it anyway.

I definitly would still buy it. I just love having such a rare car. not to mention the looks. The first time i read about the mp3, i went out and put a deposit on the first blue one they got. I love my car more everyday. Although the MP3 has had some issues, the car was still a great value and the issue are being adressed.

Linux, i enjoy reading all your pioneering that you have been doing. you and many others made our aftermarket what it is today. I cant even imagine how much you have spent modding your mp3. You have been invovled in every aftermarket part it seems.

Plus I like that I do not see a MP3 everywhere I go. You always see a civic or rsx or wrx, our car is rare and thats a deffinite plus. And for the price you cant beat it what a deal

If the Mazdaspeed came in blue, I might have bought a used car for awhile. But at the time the MSP didn't exist, and they don't make it in blue. Now I don't want to see it in blue .
