What would happen to an MS3 in a head on collision

i had a 2001 yellow mazda mp3 that i hit a tree with doing around 115 120 and the front bumper guard (The pice that goes under the bumper and ties into the frame)was removed for some mods i was testing and i walked with seat belt burn only.. And get this some guy rebuilt it and sold it on ebay ....
MAZDA'S rule(peep)

Hm, I think if you hit a tree at 115, that's similar to a head on with a combined speed of 230... since a tree is so much stiffer.

My scarcasm radar is temporarily down, please tell me your not serious.(omg)
Unless of course you're talking about a racing tree with a steel frame.(stoned)

Er the point I'm thinking of making is the following:

If you go 50 miles per hour into a parked car, that's obviously not as bad as if you go 50 miles per hour into a car traveling 50 mph back towards you (approximately equivalent to crashing into a parked car at 100 mph). However, going 50 miles per hour into a parked tree is not the same as hitting a parked car because of how much stiffer it is. At first I said it would be equivalent to a head on collision where each car is traveling 50 mph, but that might be a bit of an exaggeration... so somewhere in between.

I think what your trying to say is the tree wont move when you run into it, the car will

a solid wall vs a car on rubber tires that slides under impact basically

that speed3 held up extremely well to that, the engine just buckled in on itself but behind that (other than the fram shortening up a bit) it didnt do much....that is truely amazing engineering!

I can see the point you're trying to make and you're right. To crash into a parked (modern) car or a structure specially designed to dissipate the energy of a crash is a lot safer than to crash into a random solid object that doesn't care about dealing with cars.

That said though, I wouldn't dare say it's equivalent to crashing to another car at the same speed, like you later rightly corrected. And also, in such a crash you'd probably have to consider the position/angle at witch the car impacts the object.

that has the MS3 wing and wheels on it, but the car is an automatic and the interior is tan, even parts of the dash look different... is that really a speed or is it in a different country or something?

oops nvm i was looking at the pic of the rav4, my bad :)
