Sorry I'm new here. I was just wondering which turbochargers actually fit in the Mazda3. Looking on ebay here and they have like Honda and Mitsubishi ones, and im not sure as to which ones fit.

A turbo is only a mechanical airpump, driven by exhaust gases, so it's all a balancing act.

Corky Bells book is a good place to start.

Most anything you can buy will fit, with a big enough hammer.

Sizing is the key, and the subject of about a dozen books.
For up to 3 liters....a Garrett GT28, or smaller 25 gives quick spool up, or even an IHI/Mitsu design, all have little lag....good to about 3275hp.

If you want to make more power a T3/4 would be the trick but expect a lot more lag.

The hardest part is the rest...downpipe, Intercooler, plumbing, oil lines, coolant lines....that's the issue, along with proper fueling and engine management.

The idea sounds simple, the reality is a bit of serious work and commitment.

I agree with badAzLava3:
The first question is WHAT DO YOU WANT?
DO you want quick response with a little bit of power or are you willing to sacrifice quick response for more power.
The second question is HOW MUCH ARE YOU WILLING TO SPEND?
As of right now, there are no aftermarket turbos available, though they are supposedly being built on test cars by various manufacturers. Since there are no aftermarket turbo kits readily available your best option is going with a custom setup(which is the best provided you are willing to test&tune) which costs a VERY pretty penny. There is one MAJOR snag that's holding everyone back and that is the ECU, no one has been able to crack it yet(that I know of) so that means one more item onto custom turbo system: Fuel Management System. Add a lot money on top of the already pricey custom turbo system and you can see the problem. As far as fitment goes, IMHO you can fit a turbo EASY in the 3 (5dr at least), there's just shitloads of room, hell even room in the front bumper for a intercooler, so no cutting of the bumper (glare) !

So my advice is as follows:
1) Wait and see how the aftermarket developes
2) save some MONEY
3) get some reading material based on Turbocharging and learn as much as you possibly can.
This is the Biggest advantage one can have when looking to turbocharge thier vehicle. Not only do you have a general knowledge of how a system works, but you'll have a general idea of what you want with your budget. Thus, making it easier for yourself and your tuning shop to get what you want.
Plus,I don't think you'd want to sound stupid when you are talking about your car and don't even know how the damn thing works. (hah)
