As far as the rental car goes, you pretty much do get to pick what yuo want. You have a ceratin"standard of living" that needs to be met. He cannot expect you to go from a 170HP BEAST like the MSP to a GEO Metro, right?? Pick up a Corvette

You might want to get that Geo Metro so that when you get your MSP back, you will fall in love all over again. If you rent some Vette or other super car, you not might like your MSP as much as you did before.
Just a thought.

Hey just to bump up the cost tell the body shop it's a brand new car and you'd perfer to have the fender changed rather than having a dent pulled out. Pulling dents can cost anywhere from 200-1000 $$$, a fender alone with paint is more. Go that way!

If you have to take him to court, or even if he tries to be cheap with a rental, just make sure you get something you'd be happy driving for a couple of days, if it took that long...And I would definately recommend a new fender. If they pop it out, it still could get bumped and knocked back in..I had a girlfriend one time with a spot on her car's fender like that. If you barely even touched it, it would get pushed in, and you had to jack up the car, and remov the fender liner to pop it back out.

Plus labor is a b**** when it comes to fenders. Removing them requires you to remove a whole lot more crap. Which in turn = more $.
