What hooked you into the hobby of cars?

Was just thinking about this when I was looking through some videos I had saved on my computer......these are the things that I can remember that specifically hooked me.....what hooked you?......If this is already a topic feel free to move or what evar. More then likely I posted in the thread if there was one but I can't remember so.......

Hooked on what? Cars? Racing? You don't make a lot of sense.

yeah I was kind vague on that huh?....lol. But being this is a car forum, I don't know I figured people would put 2 and 2 together. I did just mean the hobby in general.

My dad got me hooked on cars. When I was younger we would ride around in his '91 Protege LX. It had nice wheels, an intake, lowered suspension and an axleback exhaust... oh and a 100 shot of nitrous. lol That was for fun.

We were always at the drag strip watching cars race or at a tuning shop near our house. Not only was I hooked on cars and going fast, but I was hooked on Mazda. Now, I believe I wont ever drive anything different.

But the thing that really cemented my Mazda/car lust, was my first car. It was a 1991 MX6 GT. It was a heap of s***, but I love that car to this day. (My dad still has it.) It drank fuel like I breathe air and none of the windows or a/c worked, but when that car would hit boost.... it was the best feeling.

Now I have my Protege and I'm never looking back. The zoom is in my blood.
