What have you done to your Rotary Mazda Today?

i went to get my registration renewed and i requested custom plates "87 FC3S." it got declined and deemed inappropriate. they said that i was trying to write 87 feces. i told them that they have dirty minds and sent them an e-mail appealing it. i told them to google the plate and see what it says, rather than attaching a bunch of pics and links to fight my case. i will know something on monday. if i don't get that, my second option is "SNL TRL" (snail trail) but they deemed that appropriate.

yeah, the lady was really trying to be a b**** at first and she straightened up when i told her what the license plate meant.
 
Got my Tein S-techs on today and finally decided to align it. The left rear had -0.56 of toe. Gotta fix the negative rear camber though since its at -2.3 now. Car rides alot better and feels alot more stable. Slowly but surely my $1000 turd is coming together

Is that toe in or out?? I imagine out would make it stupid twitchy, but you said it's more stable, so it's likely in. Just curious.

thats toe in. My alignment machine is weird it measures rear toe correctly but front toe is backward

lol gotcha. Yeah, that's a lot of rear toe no matter how you slice it. I'm surprised the rear wants to do anything but go straight w/ that much toe in...
 
just got done soldering in an injector clip before i realized that the stock clips work with my after market injectors. i wish i would have known that before. would have saved myself the headache.

x2 on the three day weekend.

Just put my TII meshes back on all wrapped in some brand new Falken Azenis 215/45 R16. Car feels better but it feels so sloppy with the power steering. So among putting back in my air pump, installing my Fiero E-fan and auto switch, i am going to tear out the steering rack so i can bring it into work monday and depower it.
 
I think i really need to just start my own build thread i post in here enough.

Neway picked up my corksport catback last night and it got put on tonight. Everybody kept telling me that it would be loud and i figured as much...but GOOD LORD the car is stupid loud. Sounds deep though not like the pissed off nest of bees i had with the stock mufflers.

Picking up a GTUs 4.30 LSD next week from the same person who sold me corksport catback
 
Ok i think i am going to start my basic build thread tomorrow but for now:

Put on my fiero fan tonight looks great and works great too. Also found out why the horns didnt work...they werent plugged in. Also i pulled the condenser out.
How is it that the oil cooler ever worked? the condenser has a big metal plate at the bottom that seems to hinder airflow big time. It also had 19 years of hair, leaves, pine straw, cob webs ect. caked in the radiator and condenser. Car runs really cool now. Almost well enough that the fan doesnt kick on even idleing and the temp needle is just under half way. On the plus side i had to remove the hood latch to get the condenser out. In replacing it my hood now actually sits right. Conclusion: i know the car has been in a wreck between all bondo, half assed paint, stuff left unplugged, and stuff not sitting straight but wow i wish i knew the name of the body shop and hope they have since gone outa business

Tomorrows plans: removing PS and rest of AC components.
 
i got some pretty nice headway going tonight. i wanted to stop while i was ahead though. the uim is ready to bolt on, the injectors are installed, the omp vacuum lines have been replaced, i ran new fuel lines, and the top of the motor is stripped down enough to clean it up.

only things left to do are to pull the p/s and bolt all of the final parts back together.
 
Ok so i got lazy about the build thread. i should have time to do it tomorrow

In the mean time...pulled the P/S and AC stuff today also washed it for the first time today. Gonna post pics in the rx7 section
