What have you done to your P5 today?

I wish painting my front bumper was as easy as Photoshopping it blue lol

Really want to get some detailing time in this weekend. Having the exhaust itch, just not sure if I want to do it on the RX-8 or the P5 first.

Got the tires swapped to the SSRs at AutoRND. Talked to Rishie for a bit. It was nice to put a face to the forum legend *:icon_lol:

Now the spacers and RX8s are up for sale (spacers are FS in the universal FS section here and RX8s are for sale locally)

Looking good. I see you're not utilizing your roof racks. They look mint. Wanna sell them to me? Haha!

I can even send you my filler strips so you won't be stuck w/ a naked roof.

Well, I've only had the car since February and being I live in Northern Indiana, I haven't had many opportunities to use the roof racks until the last week or so. But fear not, I plan on using them this summer. So, no such luck on a trade. Thanks for the notice though!

Changed front driver wheel bearing only to find out that there is probably another bad wheel bearing. Sucks.

I don't get it. Mine has 268k kms on it and it's never had or needed a wheel bearing. What is it that makes them go on so many other cars?

Mine had 136k miles when I sold her and I didn't have any bad bearings. The current P5 has a bad one though. Not sure which...

Installed the GT Spec trailing arms. In about 15mins. I wish all installs were this easy...

If you're having trouble finding the bad bearing you can use a dial indicator to measure the lateral runout on the brake rotors. You'll end up finding one of them that's reeeeeally out of whack (one of mine was out >10 thousandths of an inch!). On my car I couldn't tell that the bearing was bad by jiggling the wheel, this was the only indication that something was wrong.

Also, holy ****, there's no rust!

The mechanical problem I've had with my P5 is... well, none. The EGR needed to be replaced because she sat on a lot too long and it seized, but the dealer took care of it at no charge. Brake pads needed changed, done in a few hours once I figured out how to get the damn calipers off... and then back on. Other than that, the rear wiper motor is dead and there are a few rust spots. All of that with only 125K miles (bought with 121K). For a northern Illinois car, she was either garage kept in the winters or meticulously cleaned... or I'm a lucky bastard.

Just thought I should put in my 2 cents.

Thx

So today tried to change the egr valve and that was a failure me or the bro could not find a way to get those two bolts off :/

Cleaned the tb ended up needing a new gasket for it there was only half if one when u took the tb off..

Then added the rings finally

I want some gauge rings REALLY bad. I'm half tempted to get the Street Unit ones and see how they work/look and still keep an eye out for the DaveB ones. Decisions, decisions!

Just washed and waxed the whole car. Arm is now numb. Last photo is my hood after waxing it.

Went for a Drive, Finally out of the Garage and behind the wheel.

Boost is hitting so much lower and stronger than anticipated.

The 65mm Throttle is managable.

The car is "Rolling Art".
