What have you done to your P5 today?

idk we could not find a way to have room to loosen them up. or anything we tried barely gave us any room to play with. idk was pretty frustrating so i just stopped lol and cleaned the tb, put new gasket on it and done lol

I did not get anything done on the P5, spent some of Saturday polishing the RX-8 though. Ran out of product, so I need to pick up some more polish.

Planning out the system for the P5, and trying hold back from ordering the exhaust before I pay off a few things.

I did my EGR with a small 1/4" ratchet, it wasn't that bad. You need to approach this job knowing that your hand is going to be bruised and bleeding by the time you're done :P

Have you tried taking a look at the valve from underneath the car? IIRC it's almost accessible from down there.

Alternatively, I believe some people remove the whole intake manifold to make this job easier...

I was waiting for someone to realize the mph. I did a fourth gear pull on a "closed course", and had to quickly slow since my radar detector started going off.

That's only the mileage on the chasis, not drivetrain :)

And the CEL is from my secondary o2 unplugged since my wideband is in its place.

not yet. though about it after i gave up lol might do this weekend.

really trying to avoid this lol

It takes 5 minutes to put a 3rd bung in there for the UEGO
it certainly does, I'm thinking about getting a pope downpipe or a downpipe back exhuast since im still on stock and didnt want to mod the stock setup. The ecu is still getting o2 signal from the wideband via analog output.

Only have the CEL because it's not seeing a complete circuit (o2 not plugged in)

Got some more LEDs in today. I'll get some pictures in a little bit. Now I have map , dome, trunk and license plate lights swapped over. However, I'm dumb and forgot to select "WHITE" when I got my trunk light, so they shipped me a blue one. But it was only $1 from DDM, so I win no matter what.

I do have one question though... are the bulbs in our 3rd brake light 194's? I REALLY want to get those changed over ASAP, but I don't want to order the wrong ones.

Today...

An if you had never noticed... There is actually only 1mm of clearance between the rim and the caliper on the 14" * Piston brakes.

There's only a slight color difference between the map lights and the dome light from DDM.

License plate lights also from iJDMtoy.com. 12-SMD T10

This is the blue mistake. It's a lot brighter than I thought it was going to be. I think I'll keep it for a while.

And because I needed a picture of it, stock lows and $15 Optilux 3000K fogs. HID's have been put on delay for a few months for the lows and I have to fgure out why my H3 kit I have for the fogs isn't working. I'll tackle that job "soon."

drove it to work. trying to figure out a rattle and clunk noise from the driver side of it. its really annoying me

All the major things are sorted out.

One minor thing was that the new alternator was slightly out of alignment, causing the belt to squeal. It is impossible to move the alternator so the next easy way to get the belt to lign up is to move it on the crank pulley.

There is a natural hump in the pulley that was machined down.

I now have a 5 groove belt that is 27.5" long so I can leave it loose, but still get full grip on the alternator.

Here is the final results of the Crank Pulley Modifications..

You can clearly see that the belt is now able to ride in the middle where there used to be a hump.
I have ordered a 5 and 6 Groove belt, the plan is that I will be able to leave it quite slack compared to stock and minimize the loss to friction, plus it will be better on the main bearings..
