I've always wondered, if you keep the exhaust completely stock but replace the header/pre-cat/j-pipe with something like an OBX header does the car get much noisier?

Well...didnt get the answer i was hoping for from Protephile on my cracked thunder manifold, pretty much said get it welded and ill pay you back
cant really do that since its my only car and I drive to school everyday...awesome

Its not because its a protege. Stuff like that comes with modifying any car.

How bad is the crack? Maybe you could put some high heat epoxy until you can get it fixed properly.

its not a huge crack, but its only going to get bigger the more i drive it, i can attempt to mig weld it, but i really dont want to do that either
I have a T3 log manifold in my garage...probably would be cheaper to upgrade at the same time instead of buying another T25 manifold

My dad is trying to get me to buy the steedspeed and there are a few on here so i may just get one of those

Or what you could do is drill a small hole at the end of each side of the crack. That way it wont progress. You will have an exhaust leak, but you wont have to worry about it falling off.

The sls midpipe was mine... But didn't need it so I passed it on to a good member and that is u willie

The thermometer said it was -17C so I decided it would be time to fire up the P5 (for a grocery run).

My battery is definitely on it's way out, it was barely turning over

That being said, the car ran great and heated up quick which is all that's really important.

Actually drove mine, as I was pulling out of my driveway, I remembered why I wasnt driving her.....Brakes! i has dem just the pass side front is Metal on Metal! YIKES!
