What have you done to your P5 today?

PM CivicKilla03...I am pretty sure I GAVE him the rear crossmember off of the Speed Protege...I am sure he will let it go for cheap since I don't think he is using it...

what's that key from?

i got it from aznesbass's part out. not sure exactly where he got it but i know other people had a group buy for them like a year ago but I missed out on it. but key is same length as the p5 key and the remote internals go right into this one, just remove the panic button.

I'm thinking about deleting my ignition key all together. My friend wired up an engine start button and kill switch in his Mazda3 and I really dig it. But the 3's have the chip in the key so he still has to use his key in the ignition which kinda defeats the purpose to me. But I'm pretty sure I can have the engine start button and kill switch all wired up and remove the steering column lock. Then all I would need to do is unlock my doors with the wireless fob in my pocket, get in, hit the engine start button and drive away. Of course I would have an alarm installed and a hidden master killswitch hidden somewhere in the cabin.

What do you guys think?

Yeah, that's the one he has. It was like $30 from eBay or something. And apparently some cats wire up the button to other function buttons in their cars to keep it on the downlow. Like I saw a BMW IIRC who had his engine push start button wired to his trunk release button or something. That's some James Bond/ Transporter s*** right there. I might wire it to my fog lights switch since I deleted them.

you gotta make sure the wiring can handle it though....thats alot of amperage going through the ignition switch on cold starts
would burn up small gauge wires pretty easy

Thanks for the heads up, Simon. Screw it then. heh-heh. I don't want to fry anything for just a neato push button start. :)

Nothing a small relay wouldn't solve, there isn't too much current going through that wire (remember, it only powers the starter solenoid) so a small automotive relay will do the trick.

Thanks....I'll keep it in mind.

Dropped her off for an alignment this morning and just picked her up. Acc. belts are cracking and need to be replaced (which I knew) and my rad is leaking along the top seam. Firestone quoted me $438 for the rad with labor ($299 for the rad)....um I'll look around. lol Hmmmm...OMP has an OEM rad for $314.....had no idea they cost that much.

Rockauto has them for less than $100, don't know about the quality though...

Edit: autozone has the same $78 rad that rockauto is selling for $200, lol.

lol...just saw another member is selling a BNIB Vista Pro for $110....still trying to find out more about the quality.

I had everything all ready to heli-coil the stripped out exhaust bolt hole, popped the hood, and saw a black line one of my turbo mani runners
wiped it off, and it revealed a ******* crack...awesome

so im gonna be trying to go T3 ASAP, even if it means buying a bad turbo, i just cant be driving around with a crack in my manifold
and with a turbo that burns oil...suck cuz im broke, time to sell some parts i guess

Just picked up some Mazdspeed Racing hart wheels and a msp rear sway bar for my p5 cant wait to see it on my car... will be posting up some stock p5 alloys rims and tires here soon..stay tuned ,but possible allready sold... Thanks ALex for the legit hook up
