What have you done to your P5 today?

i got a few of those. (rattles)

but only when it is cold. after things warm up, she is quiet.

started fixing my mess up of using goof off on my headlight. got some sand paper up to 2000 grit. got it looking pretty clean with just using up to 1500 and then using a terry cloth and tooth paste then wax. could use some more work though, my friend has a headlight cleaning kit with that powerball deal. I just worry that Ill make that one spot of the headlight super clean and the rest wont look as nice

Normally I am a fan of color matching things, this not so much, but more power to ya. Maybe its the chrome thats throwing things off for me. If you would say, put projectors in, the chrome could disappear... also, maybe some black in there somewheres, like the "ring" outlines?

I have blacked out headlights for when I want that look, and then now the color matched ones for that look...

Thanks...I think the flat looks pretty crazy as well, but to out there for me...Jim, my painter, and I were talking about it today...just to much...as for the roof, it as well as the rear valence, keyhole surround, bottom side of spoiler, and most likely the door trim will be sprayed in it...

I believe im the only classic red with gold fds/ silver ms6 rims.....

deciding to buy the 55W slim kit from DDM and get h3 yellow bulbs,
so once it comes i would then use the 35W ballasts i have now wit the h3's for fogs and then use the new 55W for my headlights! hella bright and not blinding people

i went for an alignment and finally both ball joint were really bad so thats going to cost me 400+ for everything(both control arms+alignemnt)...FML lol.

What would have happenned if one ball joint went out or broke...

Im waiting for mine to go out. had to replace engine and well took off control arms. I fixed em up best i could but its not going to hold for ever (^;. check ebay for parts because they have them... and i dunno control arms seem kinda basic that maybe ebay parts will suffice

Bought a USB Flash Drive with 16GB of memory that's smaller than a stick of exel gum...lol...already put 208 hours worth of full albums on it which would come in handy if I ever drive across the country.

Washed it, ordered new 9005s in 4500K to match the HID output for the low beams, now looking into wide reach 194 LEDs for the fading dash lights.

Scratch, I can't see pics here at work but from others responses it sounds really nice. Can't wait to check them out tonight at home. Very interested to see the lights....the only color matched lights I have seen on a P5 were classic red.

but today i welded the AWR side engine mount back together (the metal snapped) so im going to see if my brother wants it back or if he'll let me test it out to see if it holds
and i put a split silicone coupler on my IC pipe where its rattling the frame, got smart this time and actually put a clamp on there so it wont fall off this time

I can't believe I'm going to say this, but I actually dig the color matched headlights, Scratch. The flow really well and look much better than I was expecting. I'm sure they'll look even better once your car is all finished and buttoned up. Looking forward to those pics.

I thought the headlights looked ok....the tails seemed a little off to me.

Filled the tires to 35psi myself. Firestone filled them to 32psi after the alignment. Also wiped down the hood and then applied a fresh coat of wax. I'll be putting the stock hood on in a couple of months.

Purchased and installed Acura RDX antenna. Looks sharp. Hoping for no loss in radio reception (we'll see...). If anybody is interested, the part# is 39151-STK-A01.

From what I've heard, the CX-7 antenna cost more. Not sure about the S2k though, but I can tell you the RDX one only cost me $15.40 w/tax. I can also confirm there is no loss in radio reception.

ScratchNSniff, its coming along. I like where you're going with it. Especially shaving the emblems on the back cuz it just seemed like too much going on back there before. Please tell me they aren't finished sanding and taking those dents out, cuz I can even see in the pics that it looks like its in the first steps and if painted like that you'll be able to see every one of those spots. What in the world happened on the rear roof, dent from the inside out, lol? I can only imagine what you were cramming into the back and hit the roof with, ha ha. I do like the headlights ALOT. Just the edges around the light, like the clear lip thing. I did something like that before and found that the lip around the headlight appeared kindof clear white and threw the look off, so I painted the backside of the clear overhang lip thing and it really cleaned it up. Also, I can help you polish your lenses to look brand new without spraying them with clearcoat like most people do. But, it all looks good and is heading in a direction of sweetness. Let me know if my constructive criticism helps any, lol. I welcome you to do the same with my car.
