What have you done to your P5 today?

bought some form of water wetter from pep boys today, gotta wait till the car is cool, drain all the coolant, and fill it up with 30 fl oz of the water wetter, then fill the rest up with distilled water
should give me a 80/20 mix, which in this 115 degree weather should help keep my car cool

Got the oil changed, finished mounting the painted emblems. now i need to start bracing myself for the timing belt replacement costs (unamused). Oh well, i'd rather spend my money on my new car than something like beer and food lol.

timing belt is not too expensive, like 100 bucks and includes new pulleys and spring

I am assuming youre talking about parts costs for strictly the belt - not the other recommended replacements along with labor. I wish it would only cost 100 bucks.

I blew the front left tyre coming home from the country yesterday afternoon, was pretty scary considering it was a crap road and the speed limit is 100km/h  Was only doing 80k's, but when it blew it felt like going over a cattle grid...

Went home this weekend and picked up my cutting tool, threaded rod and more importantly my new rod ends that came in from mcmaster carr. Tomorrow it's time to cut some threaded rod, get a bunch of washers and nuts from lowe's and make some new front endlinks. I'll have pics fo sho. Other than that, my bday present to myself is shipping Tuesday and my gf is ordering its cousin part for me :D. Modding never ever ends...

just make sure you use grade 8 hardware

Lower Rad hose broke today...Not sure how. I have to buy a new one tomorrow. =(

I've got my stocker sitting around. I just installed Samco hoses last week, if you're looking for stock replacement. Let me know, shipping will cover it.

De-badge and de-rust

Broke out the grinding wheel and a bit of bondo for the rear wheel well and trunk. I didn't know that stuff sets up in < 5 minutes at 91 degrees! Doh!
It all came out nice once I applied the primer. I just need to match up the paint.

How deep did you end up having to cut away? The point of no return scares me, lol.
