What have you done to your P5 today?

well its a good thing im not trying to build a drag car then

you're saying the car is fast. it is quick. it will never be more than quick. bj chassis car with an fsde simply CANNOT be a fast car. if the engine could do it, the trans couldn't. If the trans could do it, the axles couldn't. it is not a sports car. it is a family hauler, and it took me a while to figure that out

compared to any other modded car it is painful slow. fastest bj chassis is a 12 second (omg 11.9 with no doors or trunk or interior and drag radials, so i consider that a 12). the fastest not crazy built ones are in the 13's. you can do bolt ons on tons of cars and hit the 13s. thats slow

This BJ chassis does better than 12's.

Yea, good point about the brakes. Totally overlooked that and I always hate when people have tiny brakes on big rims, looks out of place. Thanks for pointing that out... I think I'll have to pass on it. Even though they were only $500 for rims and new tires.

Yeah, I mean... there are plenty of people that have done it on a Protege and it looks good... aside from the tiny brakes.

Ya, but it just won't be worth it.. all the added weight and wheel circumference will really slow the car down even more than it already is, and I'll just have rubberbands for tires. It won't look good IMO and won't be worth the extra money spent on a P5 while I'm saving for a miata.

Hell, it's one of very few fs-de's over there period. I think he has said it's the only BJ in Spain...

Honestly, I go in every 3rd gen area, and I get tired of ppl's comments about not belonging even tho I'm discussing p5 specific material. Go to the MP3 section, the last 3 posts in the "What Have You Done to Your MP3" thread are from me, over the last week. As long as I stay on topic for the respective section, I'm going to go into MSP, MP3, Protege, P5, wherever. (shrug)

I share similarities with basically every 3rd Gen section. Those are the similarities that I discuss, because it's EXACTLY the same for both.
