What have you done to your P5 today?

reut1.......looks good!

JDMJNKY.....thanks! My next project is city lights in the yellow part. Just gotta get motivated enough to take the lights apart.......again. lol

Yea I was thinking that too citylights would be badass but need another set :(

installed 15mm spacers the other day. Much better.

did ya paint the reflector for the yellow high beam area? or is it just a bulb?

Both. I painted it with a couple of coats of stained glass paint and installed yellow bulbs. I tried the bulbs first, but didn't get the look I was after. Def one of my fav mods.

2200 degrees? (boom07) You trying to melt the engine? I think you can find the recipe for thermite online....

NO,... i mean two hundred and twenty degree's fairenhight ( however you spell it...

that would be WATER temp...

however it is about 160-180 at cruzin speed..

since my post about my dyno day went POOF! and its gone now.. il just repost it...

went in with a msp setup on a p5...
626 Manifold
PNP head ( stock valvetrain )
msp ecu
Greddy Emanage Blue / gold upgrade, ignition and fuel control external FCD or O2 clamp
Apexi Boost controler,
STOCK turbo ( gt2554R )
STOCK manifold
3'' downpipe
FULL 3'' exhaust
Nology wires
NKG 2 step colder plugs
FMIC
Walbro fuel pump

first pass with msp ecu NO tuning or emanage JUST ecu... 77 WHP and 95 ft lbs trq
22 passes later... 1 bag of ice and a case of water
170WHP and 179 ftlbs torque at 5PSI

not to bad for a lil setup... 170 whp at 3300 RPMS with A/F stable at 11.8 across the board... the car doesnt feel super fast.. but the power is consistant... no longer bouncy and rough... idle sucks ass... but that will come from more tuning didnt have time to work it out...

only downside... im still blowin black smoke out even being tuned lol... its just not nearly as much...

im still considering changing out my exhaust.... it is quite at idle... and doesnt get loud until im in full boost.... however i cant hear the turbo at all..... so im going back and fourth... it has thesleeper sound to it.. until the blow off valve goes of... but i like how the SRT-4 sounds (to a point) and that was how my mazda sounded until i put this muffler on.... idk...

I get gas at the hickey blvd Chevron and am driving on 280S around 9:15 from Daly City going up the hill about a mile before the 380 interchange

Car stumbles, and starts running like s***. CEL comes on and starts flashing, so I throw it in neutral and coast, and the car wants to die.

I throw on the hazards and pull to the side of the freeway. I call my friend, but he can't get his obd2 reader to me. I look under the hood and nothing looks wrong. The car is still running like s*** and barely wants to start.

I just say **** it and need to get off the side of the freeway. I start driving about 1/4 mile to the next exit. During that whole time, white smoke is billowing from my exhaust like crazy. I am thinking "****, my new motor is done..."

I get to the 76 station and call a flat-bed tow-truck and take off my JDP replica lip. It just cleared and I got towed to my dad's house in hayward.

I get there and check the CEL codes: Cylinder 4 missfire and system running rich. We pull the sparkplugs and cylinder 4 is completely full of gasoline

We pull the injectors and see that #4 is leaking way more than the others. Luckily I had a spare set of injectors down the street at my storage spot. We pick those up, swap them all in, crossed our fingers, and fired the car up. She held idle YAAY. I took her around the block a few times and cleared all the unburnt fuel out of the exhaust and cylinder and filled the entire street with smoke in the process.

I didn't get back home until 6pm. Man what a day. So much for deatschwerks cleaned and blueprinted injectors.

Oh and while looking in my engine bay while fixing it, discovered that the bolt that holds in my front motor mount is GONE WTF

^^ that SUCKS!!!! ive never had that... although.. my msp was dumping so much fuel i was bogged down to 77 hp turbo'd with mad fuel cut and all kinds of s*** wrong....

what exhaust do you have... I need something that is 3'' and ALOT lounder then this skunk 2... i wanna hear my turbo in the exhaust... im tempted to just cut the muffler off and run the pipe out the back... but i like how th skunk 2 looks to much to get all ghetto..

Yeah, but I am glad we fixed it (except for the MM bolt, ordering that on monday morning).

I am running the racing beat catback. I think it is only 2.25". If you want to hear your turbo spool more you need a 3" J-pipe and downpipe so it can really breathe

Edit: Saw you already have a 3" downpipe. What about the J-pipe?

dude, even with a 3" straight pipe you probably won't hear the turbo, you'd need it to come off right at the downpipe which would make it sound like a truck.

i dont mnd if it sounds like a truck at some point with the turbo... and i have FULL 3'' from the turbo back....

how the hell do SRT-4's do it?

i think i might just do a QTP cut out at the downpipe and run it some where out idk where.... cant have that s*** under the car though.... causes a fire ( i already done it before... lol wont do it again )

this afternoon I attempted to cover the crash pad with CF vinyl, and farked it up around the vent & on the side, will probably redo it if I plan to buy some more...

I got alot of paint scuffed off right there and that would fit lovely over it (hump)

yup oem part that came with the car. i painted it to match the black valence, was grey before. when painting it the guy i work with suggested using some grip tape, which i would have done if i didnt already have the part. grip tape would look real nice though!

Does anyone know the part number for this rear bumper piece. My paint does not look the greatest here either and this might help. thanks in advance.
