What have you done to your P5 today?

My first AutoX ever coming up this week...I need to get a battery tie down...that is all I can think of...do they check brake pads...mine just started squealing...

Nice! Just a simple tie down should do. They dont check pads. (usually) Have fun!!!!

Question for you p5 guys. I need a new rear cross-member and I'm wondering if there are any differences between the MP3/MSP cross-member and the p5 ones. Will the racing beat rear swaybar mount up without any modification to the cross-member?

Basically I guess I'm wondering if the p5 swaybar used different brackets/mounting holes/bolt location/sizes, etc... as compared to the racing beat rear sway.

Any help is much appreciated!

Get your headlights clear-bra'd so that you never have to polish them again.

Started my motor/trans swap today:

Got both manifolds off, all accessories disconnected, all harnesses disconnected, intake, battery, front motor mount, and cross bars out. Intake manifold prepped with new fuel rail and injectors. 3 motor mounts, shifter linkage, and axles, and motor/trans are ready to come out tomorrow.

That also included a trip to kragen and sears for a 32mm socket for the axle nuts, a sparkplug socket, and a socket adapter set.

And that was all done without air tools

you dont really need to remove the axles from the hub, i left mine bolted in and just pulled the axles from the trans, was pretty easy

Hell yea. thats the easiest way to do it. lol Just make sure that they are supported once they are out.

cleaned the P5 and was thinkin of ordering 6000k bulbs instead of the 8000k that I have....6000k is white with a hint of blue right? Everyone always has diff. descriptions of them.

ive got 6ks and yeah they are just white to my eye. when i look at them i cant see any blue in them really. im thinking of getting rid of them for some 4500 or 5k's

Some guys change to the Millenia PCV to prevent more oil blowby. I did it and didn't see a difference, but it wouldn't hurt to do. It's not an expensive part and works fine on an N/A FSDE. If you're blowing by oil, the Millenia PCV could help stop that an improve mileage. I don't know if there is a replacement interval...it's so cheap, you might as well just go for it.

there isnt a replacement interval, when it breaks or stops working, replace it
replacing it when the one you have still works wont do anything

waxed my hood ...
