What have you done to your P5 today?

And FYI, it's a Sparco Knob i just found out.

And Jeremy, oh snap. It's on now.

My car is dead due to a stupid previous owner

GIRLS! You're both pretty. Now shut the hell up.

Someone thinks i'm pretty!?!?!?!? (alright)

And, i NEED a new motor, it just is up to the warranty adjuster to decide who pays for it

And Roy, as soon as i get a pic, i'll pass it on.

+1

The '03 MSPs had Sparco shift knobs (actually they all are but only the '03s were labelled such). I'm more interested if the leather is still there or not. It's really hard to find one of these in good condition and I've kind of been after one for quite some time.

Pending it's condition I might grab it if Roy here doesn't.

Should have pics tonight of the knob.

But, they won't be "Proper" pics, since i don't own em. All I can do is forward an email if someone else wants to buy the knob. It's in Fort Lauderdale, so, good hour south of me. I COULD pick it up, but, it'll be cheaper to just have it mailed from him to who wants it

And as much as i want to help ya, i got dibs on those wheels. I am needing suspension something awful, so, i think i'm gonna throw em up on ebay and the FS section here.

Unless you got some suspension goodies to trade

msp and p5 have diff threads
No, DX/LX/ES Sedans, P5s and MSPs all have the same thread pitch and diameter. The MP3s have the different pitch (10x1.25 as opposed to 10x1.5 I believe). The issue with MSPs is that the knob is much "deeper" than the other model's knobs in that the threaded part is much further inside the knob. The stock shifter on the P5 has a metal piece that gets in the way and doesn't allow the knob to be threaded on. I believe most, if not all aftermarket shifters will allow the use of the MSP knobs.

Okay, I am trying to find some 15" steelies for my protege. Does anyone know what car came with a 15" 5x114.5 bolt pattern with an appropriate offset?

No steel wheels, the miata is too good of a car for that. I think all the 626's had 14" for steel and the only ones with 15" were alloys. And all the older proteges are 4-lug. Unless you have a good idea of where to buy new steel wheels?

You can get DSM (Eclipse/Talon/Laser) wheels for relatively cheap.
I had 2 Eclipses. A 2G a-body (96) and a 2G b-body (97-99)...both were 5x114.
