What have you done to your P5 today?

I actually can get vid of paint drying for you Maff. Gotta repaint the rear bumper cover. I'll see what I can do for you tonight

Just got a call from wife. metal on metal grinding in the rear wheels. Ghey.

Hi ho, hi ho, it's to the mechanic I go

Ok guys so I just spent 4 hours trying to loosen a bolt and I succesfully accomplished nothing. Does anyone know how much a shop would charge to change out the front mount? also, How much would a muffler shop charge to take off my old muffler and put on the Mazda sport muffler? The two bolts are rusted to s*** and I can't even get the rust off enough to get a wrench on it. Thanks for the input guys.

Just cut the bolt off with a saw. And install the new ones. Worry about the old and busted s*** later. I had to cut mine off. Took a couple hours...
I attempted to remove my stock exhaust from mine at 50K miles, bolts were rusted and required being cutoff. So, i suggest mufflershop. Also, did you try using PB Blaster?

I had to cut mine off at 15K miles!!! (braindead Just one of them, actually, but still.

I haven't touched the P5 exhaust in a REALLY long time, but I believe that this one is it:

I think maff is right....it has been so long since I did mine. I bought mine at a a local dealer and IIRC it was around $10.

That said I would also recommend buying one. Better to spend a few bucks and be prepared than take it off to find the oe crumbling apart (like mine did).

His didn't come with a gasket? That's a failure. Mine did.

Fishdonotbounce, you got ripped dude. Go back and require a gasket!

I don't have the time before tomorrow night to do brakes on her car. The metal was the indicators. Rotors are still good, so, should be picking it up after work with new pads

thanks for the help guys. i'm gonna go ahead and have them take the axleback off saturday and i'll buy the gasket tomorrow. I bought the exhaust off of a forum member so it didn't come with a new gasket. $5 for a gasket isn't bad though so I'm not worried.

As far as the mount goes, I didn't get the bolt that goes through the middle of the front mount with my mounts since I bought it off a fellow forum member so I would have to reuse my old bolt. That's why I didn't just cut it off yesterday. I'll have to look into where I can get one of those bolts and nuts some over the weekend. I'm not in as much of a hurry to get my front mount on as I am in getting my exhaust and struts put in. Tokico Blues just came in yesterday. It was like Christmas up until I couldn't replace the exhaust or motor mount. It was kinda like getting that shiny red bike and then having it get run over by a garbage truck the same day.
