What have you done to your P5 today?

Jeff, what happened with the black Racing Harts?

Still waiting for him to post up pics of each wheel and the tires. If they are stock MSP size, than I will have to ask him to have them unmounted or I can have it done and then I will need to buy the proper size tire and have them mounted.

So Im going w/ some Kuhmo ASTs for the P5 :D just confirmed price... woot! sticking w/ 205/50s

GL with them. I currently have them in that same size but not too happy with the wear. I had them installed in Oct of 2006 and they have approx 25k and rears are at 3/32 and fronts are at 5/32. That is my only gripe with them as handling (wet/dry) is very good.

did you rotate them regularly? And how's your alignment look?

today i wish someone would buy my wheels ha ha. and i drove it work.... every day is a good day in the wagon

I'll take em for $50 bucks. You didn't say how much.

Today on my way home I got her up to 90 mph on the interstate to get some distance between me and some morons who cant drive. She is screaming at that speed, but still so smooth.

Yeah, at 90, you can pretty much watch the gas gauge go down

Not really. I do it all the time going through florida. I mean, your mileage is worse, sure, but on a long trip the time you save is worth it.

As a side note, a buddy of mine drove a friend's roadrunner (old school yo!). He said if you floored it on the interstate, you could literally watch the needle drop. Now THAT is a sinking feeling.

She has been doing good though. I've been averaging around 29-30 mpg (mostly interstate at around 68mph) and right now i have around 300 miles with about a third of a tank left. (needle half way between .5 and .25)

Are you always on here when I am??? Or are you just always here???

They have been rotated every 6mos and alignment has been done within a week after rotation.

Of course last Oct. Firestone couldn't get the PS rear 'toe' in spec. Now that tire is on the front (rotated in April) and I noticed that it is wearing unevenly. The entire inside of the tread is almost smooth and even with the inner sidewall.

Last alignment (April) Firestone had everything to factory spec. Once I get new tires I will get the alignment done again.

Only thing I have gone there for is the lifetime alignment. At my visit for the second alignment they tried to get me to authorize some recommend service and I said no. $76 + tax to change spark plugs! (jerkit)

I have to put some blame on me as the cashier pointed out to me that the one tire was out of spec. His excuse was that the tech could not get both rear wheels in spec at the same time. I should have insisted that I wasn't leaving until it was done properly. And when I do go back for the next alignment, I will be talking to a manager to see if there is anything that can be done for my situation.

Glad to hear that they refunded you for the bad work they performed.

Getting a sr20 t25 from a friend this week or sometime during the week. He is upgrading and building his motor for a gt28!. Getting it for 100 bucks with little to no shaft play! Now for front mount and ecu!

building an sr20 for a GT28?! ha ha ha funniest post all day!! A GT28 off an s15 i guess is what your saying right? a GT28 at 15 psi would not even phase an sr20. i had a stock sr20det with an HKS GT-RS at 18 psi (not good ha ha) for 2 or 3 races with no problems and dailied at 14PSI and never ahd aproblems. now my motor is semi built and i will NEVAR have problems even at 350WHP plus.

Haha nah not even close. You read it wrong or I said it wrong lol

He has a msp which he is currently building to handle a gt28rs with upgraded t04e wheel.

He used to have a 240sx with the t25 turbo, which is also the same as the stock msp gt2554r. You just need a adapter plate for the inlet and outlet. I am buying the t25 off of him to use with my setup (for the wagon) since he doesn't need it. It has about 50k on it and if the turbo goes bad, I can get a rebuild kit for like 100 for it. Or he can get it which I can get from him lol

I am not talking about 240s/nissans here haha

i think its the tires man, i tried to get mine aligned at a firestone last yeartoo, i had the ast's on all four wheels and they said they couldnt align them all the way and that what they did was the best they could do, the car pulled to the left HARD!

then 3 months later, a strip of rubber from the middle of the passenger front tire came off and got lodged in my brakes
had to take the brakes apart to get it out and had to get two new front tires

the people at firestone said that it looked like was drifting with the tires (WTF?)

got the 2 new tires installed at firestone and what did they do? scratch the s*** ot of my rims, (painted stockers)
they even managed to put some gouges in there in the middle of the wheel
the outside edge i can understand, but the middle??? so now my front two rims look like dick

im never dealing with them again, even if its free

I drove her for the first time in about a month on Sunday and have been steadily driving her for the past few days. Took a few tries to get her started up but she's back to her usual oil-burning self :)

Check out what I got in today! That's going on in a few hours along with the AWR front mount :D
