Got mine sideways on the way to work today. 35 mph, 2nd gear around a turn...backed off the throttle. Dreeeeft!

i wanted to order that, but some where i saw it needed some special installation and an adapter piece. did you get yours from mazda or else where?
Got it off the FS thread here complete with factory instructions & box. It was if it had never been installed. Just had to poke the temp sensor thru a grommet on the firewall & route to front of car, connect to fuse box hole(already came with pigtail that plugged right into back of plug on fuse box), & route wire up to mirror under headliner. No special adapter or tools, no hassle, works great. Not worth 200.00 + 100.00 for someone else to install. Was worth 130.00 & free install tho.

WEEEEEEah

Sounds like fun... Did you do it on purpose?

Havn't done jack to the pro5 today... Not even looked at her yet. Still in bed.

Anyone know if these would fit on my P5. My P5 is lowered 1.5":

17" ADR Concept Pro's
17x7 42mm offset
with 225/45/17 Kumho tires

^^^ With that offset and those wide tires I'd venture to say NO. General rule of thumb is any offset under +45 mm is going to rub with a 215 series tire so for a 225 series I'd say you'd need a +50 mm or higher. Check out the Tire Fitment Guide for a little more information.

Hey I figured I would ask here instead of starting a new thread about it but....... I am going to be shaving the side moldings when I get the chance here in the very near future and I was wondering if I will have any issues with the paint since the car is only getting older. I'm gonna go ahead and just follow the How to but I just wanted to check. Mine is an 02 by the way. Thanks

I did this to my 03 about two months ago...I just put on four or five coats of 3M advesive remover (soaked them) every five minutes, and then they just pealed right off...some compound and an hour later it looked fine...the paint underneath is a bit brighter, but you can not tell unless you look close up...

Installed my 4-bike Yakima roof rack, then test-fit the bikes for the journey back to VA in a couple of weeks!

What size tire would I need to make a 42mm offset rim work? I checked out the fitement guide thread and it didn't make much sense to me.

i have 17x8 +45 with 215/45/17 and it rubs due to blown shock on skunk2 springs only because i did not roll the lip in the rear.

im trying to sell my wheels so i can go 17x7.5 +41 and 17x9 +45!!! and ksport coilovers! it can be done.... more work wheels of course.

from what i understand 215, but you might have to roll the fenders especially if the car is lowered. i just got some 18's putting on tomorrow. i will let you know. will get it lowered and rolling the fenders all the same time when i get the wheels put on.

215/40/17 not 45
