What have you done to your P5 today?

are u shure i know the shop good delt with them with my girls peace of s*** sonata and $300 sounds nice compared to the greddy or other prefabs a bit expensive not lookin to go racing but want to squeze some power out

i said the same thing an wish i went with prefab. all im gunna say i wish i would have saved up more just my 2 cents. i cant speak anything of power seeing ive never been to a dyno

Hell yeah! And yesterday I helped Luke (rogue) swap the front sway bar on his. In case you ever feel like you should do that job: don't. It sucks. It took us almost 5 hours with 2 of us working on it. Honestly though, I wouldn't do it if I didn't enjoy it. I had a ton of fun. But now I'm sore as crap pretty much everywhere lol
LOL, yep so having 2 people working together shaved 1.5 hrs off the time. :) After Sunday, I need to rotate my front tires to the rear for the next few events.... We spent the morning fiddling w/ settings and learning patience, ie. producing a burnout cloud of tire smoke on a sweeper is a bad thing, very bad.... :p

Starting to dislike the front bar yet, or does it actually help keep the front tires happy while you're not abusing them? :p

Is the front end feeling like a slow MSP without an LSD a good or bad thing? I like the way it slalomed on Sunday.

LOL funny Jeff. When are you going to get some real springs??

For now they are on hold....the way things are going my daughter will need braces within the year and we want to remodel our kitchen. Now if a strut were to go bad....then I would have a good excuse to upgrade both struts and springs.

Nice I bet the car felt like a real dog with that much added weight.

LOL....yeah, I thought the car was slow before. The added weight simply added the ! to slotege.

So that's why you hauled 47,000 lbs. of concrete in it, instead of in your MPV?
Makes sense to me! ;)

hehe....that and Tam drove the MPV to dance class. I wanted to get the concrete so I could get it poured and set as it was supposed to rain later. Haven't had a drop since I poured it. (crazy) Oh well, phase I of the inground basketball system is done.

Added more oil :( Something is definitely not right but unfortunately I have neither the time or the money to tear down the engine and figure out exactly it is right now.

have you done a compression or leakdown test yet?

Not yet. I don't have a tester - the local car cluub is supposed to have one but no one seems to know where it is. A leakdown test would be ideal and I know someone who has a tester just no compressed air. I just have a lot of other things I need to focus on more at the moment (graduating, etc.)

lol yeah, graduation's important. Accurate compression testers can be had from harbor freight for under $20 (yes, they ship). And compressors can be come by. Know anyone who works at a shop?

Yeah I've got pretty decent knowledge of the shops and stuff in the area I just don't want to have to pay for something I could do on my own. Fortunately I don't drive the P5 too much so the possibility for causing any more damage is lessened. I was going to look to do a compression test last weekend but I had to take an 8 hour test on Saturday and then it rained all day Sunday.

Oh I went through at least 6 or 7 gallons of gas on Sunday. The day consisted of autocrossing (8 runs total on my car), a total of 50 miles driving, and some idling in between runs and staying warm.

So yeah, definitely single digit gas mileage there  And that was driving the speed limit on the interstate due to a crappy alignment (didn't have enough time before the event :().

The car felt pretty decent but I was disappointed with my driving and the times. Traction was real bad, too sandy and probably cold. Hopefully the alignment and better weather will help. Those 275s are tempting...

added 1/4 of a qt of mobil 1 full synthetic high milege 10w30

also seafoamed. and put hose clamps on the mid pipe exhaust hangers to tighten them up a bit

i was reading up about seafoaming... and from what I remember, i guess its a 3 part process, or 3 places you pour seafoam into? Just wondering how many miles do you have on your car, is this the first time you have seafoamed it, and how much crap came out?

its teh second time i seafoamed it. i only put it in throught the brake booster line , and not alot came out really. several revs, a drive around the neighborhood and no more smoke. of course i really didnt put in alot. 1/4 of he bottle if not that...
and i have 96k miles about...

I had a twin engine P5 yesterday. It was mounted in the hatch. AWD y0! Actually just picked up a 1.6 B6 longblock for the Miata so I can tear it down and rebuild it :)

Oh, and 4 race tires (fo freezy!) in the rear seat :)
