What have you done to your P5 today?

Decided to check my plugs yesterday, not sure of mileage. All nice & ashy color with no oily or carbonish build ups. Just cleaned them up a bit with a wire brush & regapped them back to .041. Cool right? So this a.m. went to leave for work, started car, all good, turned lights on &...........the damn chrg light comes on. Needless to say with it being dark & 28 degrees outside, the car stayed right there where it was, swapped stuff over to truck & drove it. Bummer, 170.00 for new alternator. The fact that I have NOT just recently installed my lightened pullies on the lame alt, priceless. Now I can start with fresh alt with Brach pulley. It just so happens that I pulled the CP STB out of the attic to do the cc relocate so it'll clear soooooooooooo, I'll pull the oem stb move the cc out of the way & have good access to pull the alt out top. How ******* convenient huh? Coulda been much worse, I coulda been cross the damn state & it happen but it was nice enough to happen in the garage.

As most of you know my P5 is gone, what I did to my "new" P5 was press the remote start on my new whipe in this cold teens windy weather while I get ready to head out to the super market.

This was only on the '03s right?

Aww your sig. brings me back to the quiet, non-cop magnet stock days..Nostalgia...

LOL

I tend to drive a little slower now just b/c it's yellow. I feel like I have a big sign, "hey look over here" (sssh)

Finally drove my car today after the new windshied, and after being couped up for 2 full days the gasket smell was still inside, can you say headache?

Two miles up the road on the 2lane a dumptruck passes by and slings a rock at me! ohhhh i cussed, didn't make a mark from what i can tell...

Ouch is right, that don't sound good at all. Mine wasn't like that at all when I threw the screws in it. Yours sounds like something else.....

It sounded like a tiny piece of metal was pingin around in the cylindar. It started that noise like 5 seconds later. I am thinking maybe whatever it is got wedged or jammed in somewhere.

Have you still got Warranty left or have you looked into the recall yet ? It'd be nice for you if the recall was there for ya. Save you a bit of a raping anyway.

When mine went, it totally made the pinging sound. I had read the other posts about what it would do and how you would just "know" when it happened. I tell ya what, as soon as mine did it I "knew". Only thing with mine vs yours, as soon as it pinged, it went away. I regapped the plug and it ran like a champ. It concrens me a bit that yours is still running that badly. There isn't much room for anything to be left in there.......

That's what happens when 22v beats yellow in a race. They become graphite grey.
