What have you done to your P5 today?

why I oughtta...

:D

this is so frustrating though. Words cannot describe the pain that winter in Rochester has inflicted on my car. Mazda did not engineer this car to hold up to cold climates where salt is used heavily, that's for sure.

Where I live they don't salt the roads when it snows. Instead they cover the roads with sand and ground up lava rock. So you go through a windshield and have to repaint the front of your car every spring.

Yup. Got caught behind a dumptruck carrying that crap up the road to Mt Humphreys. After taking one in the windshield, I watched the crack propagate all the way across the glass. Not fun.

I'd much rather do that. Back home they use sand and damn it's just so much better.

So as it turns out, you absolutely positively aren't supposed to touch brake lines with a normal wrench.. there's my problem.

You're supposed to use a flare nut wrench specifically, and I'm not even sure what advantage that has? Hopefully I haven't rounded the nuts enough that I can't still go at it with a flare nut wrench ((rant)(rant) sears is 20 miles away, uggggh)

Anyone know the proper brake bleeding order for our cars? Is it just rear passenger, rear driver, front passenger, front driver, clutch?

I don't have the factory service manual on my garage laptop :(

it's more like "what happend to your p5 today"...anyway, started smelling gas at idle..just got home and checked the car...sure enough, one of my injectors is leaking at the rail (mam billet rail)...that thing was such a PITA to install, it wasn't made right to begin with, no problem beau took it back and sent me another one, a few weeks later, that one didn't line up with the bracket correctly..(sad1) ...more fudging around...and the injectors leaked...i finally got them working and now it's leaking..it's been over a yr, but i'm tired of messing with it!!!(pissed)

If I only had $100 just lying around. I'm so sick of the stock prop bar not raising the hood high enough. But alas, I am in the process of purchasing some JDM tails and an alarm system.

Just let me know when youre ready. I'll be here.

I'm going to use the Power Bleeder method.. my roommate bought one for his Volvo and lo and behold, it fits onto the fluid reservoir in the Protege5 just fine (alright)

now if only one of my roommates would get back so I could hitch a ride to sears. They close in 90 minutes >_< I can't miss work again tomorrow, so if no one gets back home I'm gonna have to ride to work tomorrow morning in the wonderful less than 40 degree weather. w00t or something
