obx is gold then turns purple, the silver comes from having it jet coated, which will not make it turn purpleredpr5 said:awesome. thats good to hear. are the obx's silver or are they that goldish lookin color like on protege garage, thats my other question

If you have a couple hours and some 00 stainless wool, this can be fixedreynoldsrobbie said:mine are purple/gold from the heat. Think they all turn this color unless they are coated.
alright. ill be sure to do that. and yea that bronze color it turns looks nice. id probably clean it pretty often anyways, cuz i clean my engine bay pretty regularlyBala de Plata said:If you leave it raw, just REALLY clean it before you fire things up. Any oil or dirt will just burn in and turn purple. It will get a nice even bronze look with use.
Hey Patrick, what front motor mount are you using?Bala de Plata said:If you leave it raw, just REALLY clean it before you fire things up. Any oil or dirt will just burn in and turn purple. It will get a nice even bronze look with use.

I am running that new one from SLS. What a difference! When I took out the stocker, I found it was totally ripped. Did you do the side or rear?Bala de Plata said:That was the AWR front mount in 88 ("auto") durometer ... Some don't mind the vibrations it brings, I hated it so I took it out. Both $treetUnit and SLC have less extreme mounts available now ...
