You just.. put it in the lower slot, that's it

I don't know exactly how your kenwood is, but with my alpine it has this sorta-crappy sleeve with tabs all over it, and I just removed it from the upper slot and put it in the lower. The rubber stud in the back of my head unit still lined right up with the holes in that rail. I do still have the Protege MP3/MSP rail that you have holding your radio up.. holding it down

The aluminum panel for my gauges doesn't actually have anything holding it in place, I gotta figure out a way to mount it in place.
