What have you done to your P5 today?

I am on day 18...I get my car back from the shop today, so I will be cruising around in it tonight.

I wouldn't be alive!

today I took some pics while inside my car :P

it was my first glimpse of my new gauge cluster in the daylight. Yeah, I'm missing that trim piece around the gauges.. it's in my garage, but I have a new one on the way.. mine is painted black, I want one that is brand new :)

Bah, I drove her around base (NAVSTA Norfolk) for the first time in nearly 4 months - I had forgotten how crappy these roads were. Man I hit a few pretty badly - I hope my rims are still ok, I guess I'll find out after workk if my tires are still inflated...

Good luck...I just got a call that I won't get mine until tomorrow. Durring assembly they found a small hole in the new radiator.

wow, i could never go that long. main reason i quit my job was because i had to go 2-3 weeks without seeing or driving her. got a question for everyone here. what can you go longer without, sex or P5? i vote sex. i'm ok going a week without some booty but can't go a week without the P5 before i get major withdrawls.

Yeah, no kidding. 547.5 days....That's a LONG ass time right there (shocked) . 10 days ain't so bad I guess.

Yeah well I dealt with not getting any for my first 18 years, then getting it every day for 2 years, then this....so sad.

wait what??

omg if they are charging that much, go somewhere else!.. like Rochester, where I could install the alternator belt and change the oil! seriously though, I would

this is at the dealership of course..
only reason im getting my oil changed there is because i get it done for free.
i think I'll go somewhere else for the belts

yeah, I think it's recommended at 60k and im pushing 71

It's a pretty easy job. Are you on winter break from school? I'm serious that I'd much rather do the job myself than see you waste over 500 dollars on it at the dealership. Just get the belts from protegegarage.com or onlinemazdaparts.com

Prices from onlinemazdaparts.com:

/S belt, Protege, 1.8L, 2.0L, w/AC 02-03 $23.10 $0.00 $18.48 Maintenance & lubrication - Engine service - belts & pulleys - P/s belt
ALTERNATOR belt, Protege, 1.8L, 2.0L, Goodyear 2003 $15.45 $0.00 $12.36 Maintenance & lubrication - Engine service - belts & pulleys - Alternator belt

So around 31 dollars, vs almost 40 from a dealership. I think shipping is free during the holiday season too. I'll be back in CT this weekend for the holiday but plan on being back up here as soon after Christmas as possible to start work on my turbo install. If you want to stop by and get it done feel free, just hope that there's no snow because my car will probably be immobile in the garage with a turbo kit half-installed haha
