What have you done to your P5 today?

Yeah I've watched your video a couple of times. Still can't believe it though. Driving around in a little rocket sled man. Close to 25 psi is kickin tho. Kudos to ya.

drove it all night today through the rain

The rain stopped here so everyone can disregard my earlier post. I drove around the area since I haven't been home for three months and that's about it.

Oh and I looked at a 2001 red Miata for sale at the local Mazda dealership. I don't think I could live with a tan top and interior though, but I'm seriously considering making a miata my primary and only car right about now. I can't even begin to explain how perfect the 1991 I drove today felt. 0 undercarriage rust, only wear items have been replaced, no rattles at all, chassis feels good (and compliant over bumps as opposed to suicidal over bumps like my protege). It was my first time in a NA miata and I gotta say the interior in person is a lot better than it is in pictures. Yeah it's basically straight and flat but it has a pretty nice design to it. The 1.6 felt smooth and not at all underpowered (I'd say easily on par with my 2.0 in the P5 when it was stock, can't tell now with all the noise it makes).

I'm going to spend the week off that I have after finals (the week after next) trying to get my car to that point. I'm going to completely disassemble the shifter linkage and do some stuff with that. Maybe I'll look into these bronzoil bushings people speak of. I don't remember what bushings I have in that location. I think TWM supplied them because I seem to remember having the stock bushings with the stock shifter in a box somewhere.

i drove the piss out of it. and took this neat pic

KanseiZM, what suspension do you have that makes the car so harsh over bumps 'n such?

goldline lowering springs. Supposedly from what I read they have a similar spring rate to the MSP springs but I don't know how much I believe it. Had the springs for 30k miles or so on the stock struts and now for the past thousand miles on tokico HPs.

The harshness might be more the wheels/tires than it is the suspension, but with my 195/55/16 snow tires I seem to remember it was basically just as bad.

the layman in me says "Huh?"

Thanks. I should have purchased the filter eons ago. What a huge difference.

Chris, what camera do you have? They make filters in almost every size. Plus you can buy stepping rings to adapt.

Jimminy freaking christmas Josh! Great picture! I have admired your car through this post many times....but you have out-done yourself. Chris talks a good bit about not liking the P5 silver but your car (and his) does the color mucho justice. I can't wait to see more.

BTW.....it is my opinion a CF rear valance would be HOT on your car.

Dave.
