I'm going to wash mine today, but I have to mow the lawn first.

yeah, thats my problem...

can't wash the car becuse the grass is a foot tall in the yard
can't mow the lawn because the mower needs to go in for service
can't take the mower in for service because my mom is borrowing my utility trailer

i might just have to hit up the car wash :(

american car + rain = death

lol, that crapalier handles soooo much better than my P5 in rain and snow... abs + traction control + eibach + new tires = FTW

my fear is the car itself will die, 180k miles on a 4cyl chevy is unnatural

im not saying it doesnt handle well in the rain, im saying your chance of spontaneous combustion/parts falling off/things exploding etc is 110%

atleast if spontaneous combustion occurs, its raining..

but i did notice the front bumper was a little loose... i may have to get under there with some duct tape

Argh it is raining today so my car is miserable. For some reason, there is brake dust on the front wheels for the FIRST time since I've had the car, what the hell? I haven't changed the front pads since july so that's really weird. It must have just been driving 400 miles in the rain yesterday or somethin.

I'm noticing every little flaw with my car right now since I just drove a 91 Miata with 120k miles on it today and it was seriously flawless. I've got all kinds of rattles, buzzes, little quirks and crap. My car's ride is so painfully jarring over any pavement that isn't perfect (though she handles like a dream), and why the hell is our shifter so notchy? ugh the Miata had throws easily as short as my twm short shifter, yet it did it so smoothly. The paint is flaking off my front emblem and my rear "mazda" emblem, my front end is pitted and gross, my shifter is hitting the heat shield or something when I shift from 1-2, the paint around my radio, shifter, and gauges looks crappy, I screwed up the gauge faces (don't ask).. right now I just want to get rid of this thing :'(

Of course it is all my own fault. Everything that bothers me about the car is a direct result of my own poorly-planned modification sprees :)

I'll just wait until the sun comes out and I'll be happy again haha

man, that was a pretty crazy post... back and forth, up and down...

Has anyone ever noticed that the title of this thread is grammatically incorrect? I just noticed that...

yeah, that's how I roll. Bad weather really gets me down. I wish my Protege5 was back to how it was the day I bought it so that I could start all over again and do it right.

Really though, does anyone else have the extremely notchy shifter problem? It can't just be me. TWM short shifter with kartboy bushings on the car.

Washed the car and waxed the hood. Lots of detail work to do. Many little black spots all over the car. Does it ever end?
