What have you done to your P5 today?

looked at my baby for the first time in 10 days... and plan to drive her hard later today, a good wash n' wax is likely in order as well, maybe a polish too with the pc, we'll see.

TTIWWDS (this thread is worthless without dog sled).

:D

Today I just drove my car to the train station, parked in the garage, and headed into manhattan for the day. I went to Bodies: The Exhibition. For anyone who is thinking about going to Manhattan for any reason, I definitely suggest going.

I am surprised that more peeps don't know about it, the SCCA has regions all across the country and offers a variety of things. Peeps that want to solo there are events, you can rally-cross or do time-speed rally events, me I am a corner-worker, first responder to an incident. If your not sure, go to an event and check it out, my region offers a 90-day temp. membership that gets you working that day(volunteering) to see if you like it. The fun, knowledge and comaraderie(?) you get is priceless-nough said

Yes... go... watch... and race. You'll be hooked, guarantee it!

ronin, you enjoy corner working? I'm moving later this year (late august) and I'm going to be 30 mins from road atlanta, and I really want to start working. Got any insight for a n00b? ;)

this is my first year doing it and I regret not starting sooner. It is such a rush being 5-10 feetfrom the racing line, giving a slower car the blue flag and seeing him nod his head to acknowledge it, seeing some og the open seat cars go by and watching the driver hustle the car through the corner. Anyhow if you are interested find out what region you will be in and contact the F&C chief and let him know your interested, you can then go to the track and get a temp. worker licsence(?) and you learn as you go. Some sites to check out www.ner.org comp.corner getting involved- there is a good write up on corner working and the stuff you need. You meet a lot of great people and see a lot of cool things, I have already done 5 races and am doing the rolex grand am race monday at LRP and 3 regional races Sat. and Sun. at NHIS. sorry to ramble and it is P5 related cause I take her with me to the events and have gotten to drive her on the track for a few laps (first)

With the Acura taking up space in the garage my poor P5 has had to be hosed down everyday with so much nasty s*** from the trees above. I can't wait to finish this project tomorrow.

Cracked $50 for the first time filling up (boom07)
hurts, don't it? i wouldn't have such a problem with gas prices if the major companies weren't constantly posting record profits... i don't begrudge anyone a minor profit, but come on. the buying power these companies have - and the fact that they've got their hands in the actual extraction, etc, of the oil - really, really pisses me off. :bs: gas should be 1/2 - 2/3 the price that it is.

ok, sorry, rant over.

did something stupid today... parked her under a tree and as a result got sap all over her. should have known better with it being spring. (pissed) and i don't have time to wash/clay her likely for the rest of the week. yay me.

wow $50!, in your p5? the most ive had it 38-40 bucksss.. on regular gas though
Yup - unleaded regular. If I filled up my MSP today (with premium) - it would have only been about $3 more. I'm glad I don't have my '69 camaro anymore - I'd have to live in my car, or not eat.

got them from a site called www.wheelsboutique.com with centercaps the wheels were 250 each and tires were 156 each. as a combo i didn't have to pay extra for shipping. so in total 1624. i could have gotten the tires cheaper elsewhere but i didnt pay extra for shipping or mounting/balancing. next i'm gunna order rays lugnuts in black.
