What have you done to your P5 today?

Did you leave the autoexe (brand?) grill on car?

If so......go to the dealership tonight, rip it off and sell it to me dirt cheap. :)

Took out the oem head unit and replaced it with a Sony Xplod. Nothing big but I am starting. Tomorrow comes the wiring of the amp and speaker.

I got a wild hair up my ass and decided to go forth and change out the speakers late this evening. I tell you it was something else to try pulling a door panel off when you don't really know what is behind it. I would like to give thanks to everyone that has contributed the information that I needed to do this task on this site. This is probably one of the best forums I have been a member of. Now, tomorrow I will try my darnest to get that power cable for my amp thru the fire wall. The rest after that is gravy. Laterz yo...

Today I bought the DG Urethane lip and the roof rack delete kit from Mazda stuff. Well, I didn't buy it per se they were bought as graduation gifts.

^^^Congrats.....good stuff. Roof rack is easy. You will be happy w/ the results. You gotta get pics up of the lip when it's done.

Definately.

I might wait to put the lip on until after I have my suspension. I think it would look kinda funny on my car while its still in 4x4 mode haha.

In the mean time, I have the rear bumper guard coming in the mail from MazdaStuff. Once I get that I think I'll sand down and paint the rear valence satin black.

laz nite tyed to get the stock air filter hose(the stiff black one) and wanted to use it to extend my aem sri into a cold air intake, but time and nitefall was an enemy and darkness ****** it up 4 me, i think it will be pretty neat, the piping fits right onto the filter, but at the end of the sri its a lil tuff getting it in....

Sounds like a good idea though. The performance of a CAI without the painful process required to be able to look at the filter to see if it needs cleaning.

when a filter is down there in the wheel well, how often does it need cleaning? does it get dirty fast?

It is pretty well protected so it doesn't get dirty too much, but I make sure to always clean it after winter because it's pretty gross then.

i dont think i really need 2 worry about that, behing that i live right above hell (hotass florida)

whats the best way to clean the filters? oh and its not that hard to get down to the filter, all you have to do is unscrew 3 screws underneath the car and pull it right out, or go in from the wheel well..

I just follow the directions on the K&N filter cleaner.

Spray with the supplied detergent, run under a faucet from the inside, out using luke-warm water, let dry, re-oil, the end.

wished i was driving my baby... it's been almost a week since i've seen her. :( on holidays visiting ken (the captain himself), steve (lord zath) and the rest of the chicago-area mazdateam crew and am having a blast with the exception of the almost non-stop rain and cool temps.

tomorrow i head to steven's point to visit with paul (mr. detailer) and the wisconsin mazda contingent until saturday. i really hope someone will let me drive their car... for my rental, i was lucky enough to get a 6 with less than 500 miles on the odometer (2006 6-speed v6 no less; how i wish my car had the get up and go of the v6) but it's still an autotragic. i need a stick fix!!!!

you aren't allowed to complain about cool temps, you're from Canada. I would move to Canada in an instant if it was like west of the States or something, but no it has to be the snowy north :)
