What have you done to your P5 today?

Cleaned up the front tires best I could (anyone have any ideas on how to get very stubborn stains off of the stock wheels? Brake dust of course. Didn't want to run the risk of getting brake cleaner on the rubber...) Put the front tires back on...man those yellow calipers look sharp peekin' through with the blue P5.

Took the rear tires off, cleaned the calipers...masked EVERYTHING off (including pads this time...heheheheh), and got 4 coats of yellow paint and 1 coat of clear coat on the calipers. I want at least one more coat of clear on there, if not 2...then I'll be done with that little project.

Take pics of the wheel stains and post in the Appearance threads. If it's not too deep of a stain, you should be able to remove it with a pre-wax cleaner that has some light abrasiveness to it.

Thanks alt...I'll try to do that later today after work.

Before work this morning: Gave the calipers one more coat of clear coat.

Next project: Tinting the windows. (It'll be nice for our 14 month old son. Honest, i'm doing it for him. )

Have you tinted before? That back window is a biatch! I tried for 2 hours and said forget about it. Although I was using a single piece. So maybe it requires 2 or 3.

That's the one I looked at but it was held in place by tape. The Panavise version, bolts into place and was cheaper. How is your's holding up?

that thing is going nowhere...it's wedge in the seam of the airbag and radio bezel...the tape does nothing really, maybe it kinda just keeps it in position...it's great!

ya, i'm not digging the chrome to much...i'm thinking black or silver...?

i like the vents becasue they are functional and it gets really hot under my hood now, but i really don;t want then to jump out some much...ya, black it is! another powder coating job!

Got the rear tires back on, and it's now off all the jack stands. The calipers are now painted, and I also took off the roof rack tonight.

Window tinting is next. Will probably do the grill mod, and eventually a CAI or SRI.
