I thought those pulled the exhaust closer to the bumper....

a little, but the kartboy hangers are a lot stiffer than the stock ones. The stock ones let your exhaust bounce a little. The kartboy ones, while they do raise your exhaust a little higher, keep it at that height and do not allow for any bounce.

yea, it's a little closer. it doesnt hit nemore going over bumps it just wont stay centered on the cut out :( so it hits when it vibrates at startup and while driving. i tried the zip ties to keep it in place but it didnt work. idk what else to try but i need to find somethin.

uh... no. i cut the stock ones off b/c it was nearly impossible to just pull them off. gonna go try and get some bigger zip ties. the ones i used are small b/c thats all i had so i used like 3 on one side. either that or i'll try and find a spacer or something to use

it's too far to the side? did you try moving the mounts in the hangers all the way to the side and then zip tieing them?

i got my DaveB rings in today! :D I noticed that the plastic cover to the gauges are all messed up. like some kind of cleaning detergent stained them or something. does anyone know where i can get a new plastic cover piece besides going to a junk yard?

and i NEED to finally install my kartboy hangers

try using pure acetone to clean it.

I was planning full CF everything, then I sold all my exterior pieces but kept the interior CF. I cut the fusebox pieces from a CF hood.

Valve cover and exhaust heat shield polished by hand. Many hours spent cleaning over a span of many months.

^^^Where do you get just the CF side pieces for the center radio bezel?? I saw some in the FS section the other day that were just the CF side pieces??

DGM sold them at one time. I actually had cut mine from a damaged piece that cover the whole silver areas.

yea i moved the hangers over so it was centered and then put zip ties around the mounts on the car to keep the hangers in place...or so it was supposed to do. here is the pic from the how to (http://www.mazdas247.com/forum/showthread.php?t=123668675)

I know that part (that's my how-to :)) but why didn't the exhaust stay in place? did it push the zipties out of the way or something?

A new one is less that $20 from the dealer. I did the exact same thing with some armor all that was left on for too long. You could also try using some plastic polish and you may be able to polish it well enough to not need to replace it.

hey, well i finally got it to stay. added more zip ties and i think the grease was allowing the ties to slide. i think its the motor mounts allowing excess vibes into the exhaust b/c its in place now but it still hits, like vibrating hits not clunk hit (like it did w/ stock). so until i can afford motor mounts i think i am going to put some padding on the bumper cut out to keep it from makin so much noise and protect the paint

thanks for the how to btw. the grease made it a million times easier. cut the stock ones off too, nearly impossible to get the midpipe ones off w/o cutting
