What have you done to your P5 today?

yesterday i changed my wiring harness for my headlights so that it is now heavy duty. what triggered this is that the driverside connecter...(female end damn female s*** *sigh*) burned out on me for somereason... dont knowwhy though. but got that done and then also put my updraded H7 rainbows in there...i call them rainbows cause they look like it...but they are suppose to be blue....eh i like them though.

did you have aftermarket lamps in there? they we're probably to high a wattage for the plastic connectors and that could have caused it??

Replaced the front rotors, the powerslots had warped. Greased the caliper slides, Adjusted the rear swaybar links, and removed the HiddenHitch.

Waiting to install the new rims and tires. Hopefully in the next week or so.

use a vise to get it off that's what i did yesterday. I replaced my factory links with AWRs

I have my factory sway bar set up it's yours if you need it for pieces or something. I was just going to toss it.

You mean like one of these:

Or these?:
vise_grip_open.jpg

I've already tried with the latter, no luck I even heated up each end of one of the endlinks a lot (I burned my hand holding the box wrench trying to wrench at it because it conducted so much heat.. I have some pics I took last night that I can post (since this thread loves pics).

I wish I had a sawzall up here at school so I could just saw off what remains of the endlink on each side of the tab on the strut and then just drill through if needed. It sucks that my replacement endlinks from protegegarage aren't here yet, I ordered I think 9 days ago :( I probably should have just ordered the AWR endlinks too, I didn't realize that they were only like 64 bucks. I think it was 45 or so for the stock msp endlinks (70 for endlinks and 323 badge shipped).

I took the whole shock off and clamped the ball stud in the vise
then used a 14mm to get the bolt off

more tools I need to buy. too bad I don't have a tool bench or anything, I'm at school :P

I think I'll just end up getting new struts, I definitely need them anyway (62k miles).

I have this if you want it;

Looks awesome cable43, your side skirt makes the car look even lower!

Today I fixtured a broken L bracket that keeps my SRI bolted on. Cheap mounting bracket that came with it gave out a few days ago (what can you expect from a cheap ebay airtube). Was able to find a good size L bracket from home depo and modify it to fit perfectly with a dremel.

Also tried to install KB brushings, but had some trouble getting the stock rubber ones out. Finally the daylight was gone and it started to rain so I put everything back to how it was. Oh well, I will get it done next weekend while I install my short shifter at the same time.

*^^^*
Looks good Cable43.....I pm'd KYMP5 today about ordering springs tomorrow. Seeing your pics solidified my decision.

I did a few things today myself:

Before roof rack removal......

After roof rack.....

Before fishing pole modification......

Before Antenna.bmp

After antenna modification......

I kinda jacked up the antenna but it will work until I receive the one I ordered from egay.

Hope you likes. (thumb)
