hopefully i'll get everything installed next weeked at the NEPOC spring cleaning meet!

(except the new wheels...hoping to do them tomorrow...as long as the snow season is over (scratch))

Send them all to me!!! :P I can't believe you don't have the MP3 wheels on yet. I saw Bazooka Joe's car in person with them and WOW....

**edit**slow post FTL....hahaha

mp3 wheels are so great looking, mmm

I just have all my brake overhaul stuff chillin on the dining room table right now, waiting on the lines so that I can do the install. I'm probably going to have to take a half day off from work to be able to get it done in time so that I can drive to boston next weekend.

and heavy (sad2)

light wheels are really expensive or sorta cheap but really ugly, so unless you wanna drop 1500+ on wheels, you just gotta deal with it. They look so nice that I think it's well worth the added weight.

*GASP*

BLASPHEMY!
Light weight > all! Function / form! Plus, there are a good few lightweight wheel in P5 sizes that are good looking. Kosei K1s and K1TSs come to mind.

lol function over form? why the hell did you buy a Protege5 then? it's so good looking, should have bought a matrix or somethin.. protege5 has the least cargo space out of any in that class of hatchbacks :P

lmao...

The protege functions (as in it handles) as a matrix never could even dream handling at all.
(I own one as well)

Ok...but the P5 does exactly what I want. Carries me to work, is reliable, and can carry a SHITLOAD of stuff. I don't care what anyone says, the P5 can haul some junk in the trunk!

My MSP carries more - (even with that damn amp/sub rack) than my P5. I've got multiple trips to Costco/Sam's Club to hone my theory. Hell - look at my sig; check the space behind the rear wheels. However ... I did have a (5 deep) loaded up Matrix STARING at my P5 on the road today. No one looked at me as they passed - all were staring at the wheels lol!

seafoam is your god.

you suck it into your intake manifold via a vacuum line (one of the lines from the PCV works even on boosted cars) and it kinda steam cleans the head, removes carbon deposits, etc.

You can also use it in the gas tank, in your oil (!!), etc. If you use it in your oil, I'd definitely add it like the day before you're going to do an oil change anyway.

kinda stupid question but if u happen to use it in ur gas do you have to use all ur gas up? does it mess the gas up if it sits in the tank too long? haha i gotta try find this thing cant seem to find it in the auto store lol.maybe gotta look better lol

today was a long day. spent about 5 1/2 hours polishing my p5. did the rims and inside the rims, door jams, hood and everything. haha it was kinda relaxing cause there was a nice breeze. o yea i also bought a s2000 antenna and put it on. man it looks awesome as compared to the stocker xD i pick up stations i didnt even know existed now for some reason LMAO

coming up this sunday i plan to install the following! :D

new Phoenix Gold 10inch sub
new Pioneer DEH-P770MP Head unit
Sport 20 badge and stickers
dual gauge pod with oil press. and volt meter!

it should be a fun day....if i get all of that done then my baby is going to get a much needed wash

There are a few good choices for rims that are nice looking and weigh less than the 23lb MP3's that are less than a grand. Too much weight is never good. Look around.

Had the tires balanced and rotated. Found a nail in one of the tires, had that fixed and swapped out the rubber bushings in the AWR enlinks.
