What have you done to your P5 today?

*horn haha wow.. I'm the master of typos tonight..

edit: oh and as of right now.. yeah I definitely want to keep my car, I love it too much and now that it is fixed well, I'm happy again. I'm buying the MSP big brake kit, new brake fluid, bunch of new suspension bushings, tein s-tech springs, and a couple other things I can't think of right now.. :)

I'm glad man (2thumbs) It won't be the last time you'll need to step back and regroup before moving forward. I've been there and it happens to all of us.

Finally got the car back from Mazda after it was burned. Going to install the OBX 4-1 headers tomorrow. Planning on buying INJEN CAI and hopefully if all goes well, purchasing an MSP lip and fog deletes.

Lol, yeah the interior. It still smells like smoke a little but they replaced the entire carpet and had to do a full detailing job on the interior and they threw in a exterior detailing job for me too. Although they told me it would take 2 days and it took a week, they did a great job.

ouch dude, that sucks. I would have lost my cool had some dealership started a fire in my car.......you should b**** and moan about the smell and get them to replace EVERYTHING.

BTW, nice choice in a color for a p5 (rockon)

The Panda is still sitting in storage.
The more & more I look at pics is the more & more I'm thinking about getting a CF hood for the car. I think the white/black theme I have works well. Also...I need to replace the DG Lip...as I got it jacked over Thanksgiving last year...that's life in the 305....even if you only go back for vacation.

Phil, your P5 is sexy. I think if you go for a CF hood, it would have to be the Evo hood. IMO that hood is sexy.

Almost got the P5 put back together from a IM port and polish w/VTCS removal, thermal spacer, a custome EGR tube, and new OBX headers. But after we put it back together and tested it out... VACCUME LEAK!!! Pluss I have to adjust the throttle cable that some how got messed up from the project. So now after finally getting it put back together again after two weeks I haft to now take it all apart again to fix the vaccume leak. (pissed)

haha im way too lazy for that, its not so bad if im in a lit parking lot, but in my driveway its necessary to stick my head outside of the car.

I changed my oil (goodbye forever royal purple, you lied to me and said you were a synthetic but you're just some hydrocracked garbage).. my magnetic oil drain plug picked up some stuff o_O eep.

Then I went to check on my spark plugs, pulled the #3 spark plug wire to inspect it, and the boot ripped off and is stuck in the hole, so I can't get the plug out or really put the spark plug wire back on.. I pushed the plug wire back on, it still clicked, but start up the car and she's misfiring.. then I went to the mall and dropped ridiculous amounts of money on s*** because I felt like I should get myself stuff on my birthday.. the more miles I put on the car in this state the more difficult it is to drive.. Did the rounds calling 10+ auto parts stores, no one has or can order spark plug wires for the Protege5... uggh. Oh well, I said I'd do the 1.8 coil pack conversion when I needed new wires, and at over 80k miles I'm probably going to need new coil packs soon anyway. Time for conversion :)

I just hope the car remains driveable (right now I gotta rev high to launch, go really light on the throttle, and shift before 5k RPMs to prevent it from misfiring. I managed to drive maybe 40 miles without triggering a CEL so I guess It'll be ok until.. wednesday-ish which is probably the earliest I can source plugs, plug wires, and coils.

Thanks.. I feel so old now :'(

at least I still look like I'm 14.. I guess that's a positive.

I'm gonna go monkey around and see if I can somehow get that boot out with the tools I have. I tried everything I could before, sucks that it is so deep in there.
