What have you done to your P5 today?

yesterday I got 35.8mpg coming back from Rochester. Last time I got 36.6, but that was 100% highway miles (got gas at station right before NYS Thruway entrance, got gas right off exit from Mass Pike). This time I just got gas the morning before I left, did a few errands in the city, drove back, drove around on all the fun New England back roads I could find on the way back, and then drove her around some more today before filling up. I was at 1/4 of a tank after all that (395 miles worth).. it's crazy how great the gas mileage can be on these cars :)

Lucky, my car needs a bath but it just warmed up to 33 degrees and I'm not dipping my hand into a bucket of cold water right now.

I love when it's cold in AZ and warm in New England :D

What I will be doing.....

For Christmas the P5 and I received ventvisors, 20% smoked fog light protection from Rockblocker and a JVC KDG320 hu. :)

Gonna try and get the hu installed today along with the fog light protection. The visors will have to wait until some warmer weather.

My gifts to the P5 were a dual guage bezel pod, AEM wideband, full set of silicone hoses, and a vacuum block (not to mention all the other turbo goodies waiting to be installed). The P5 also got a boost gauge from the g/f... so nice of her.

On Christmas Eve I ended up changing the alternator and water pump belt because the old one was too long (even with the tensioner maxxed) and caused a high-pitched whining whenever I had the lights (or anything electrical) on. The belts listed to you with the UR underdrive pulley were inaccurate, fortunately the power steering and A/C belt just barely fell within the tensioners range. If anyone else has this problem I can give the part number I used...

warning though: it isn't OEM Mazda stuff, it's "dayco".. my accessory belts have been dayco since I installed my underdrive pulley and they seem to have held up well.

i was thinking he was having it installed by a garage too...labor cost?? i'm not tackling the timing belt!

aw come on, it's fun! :P

I'll be doing mine after my new clutch goes in >_< not looking forward to it again. I wish I had installed a new timing belt when I did my intake cam install.
