Is this your first winter in Rochester? Being a native central NYer, I suggest that you not take off the snows. You have at least 2 more months of having to deal the potential snow.

It's my second winter (also the second extremely unseasonably low-snow Rochester winter) here, and last winter when I was home for spring break (third or 4th week of February) I did the swap.

I hope I don't have to put my snows on, but trust me I'm prepared. I have a garage at school so when snow is in the forecast I can swap the snow tires back on. I noticed my Blizzaks are getting near the 1st wear sensor already >_< . November(thanksgiving)-February 2004-2005 and November-January 2005-2006 and they are already done for after this winter. Wow. Oh and last winter I definitely put like 3k miles on them tops because I was living on campus at school.

The car looks so great with it's summer wheels back on though, I'll have to snap some pics tomorrow. I did notice the ecsta MXs are louder and have worse grip than the blizzaks, but maybe that's because 2 of them are right at the wear sensors and the other two are damn close (after 1 summer (10k miles)).

Did I mention I hate tires?

While blizzaks are great snow tires, they wear exceptionally fast on dry pavement and/or warmer weather. I've got the nokian hakka q's (this is the third winter on them), and they're barely broken in - I probably have 3 more winters out of them anyhow. This is winter, and last winter though not to quite the same extent, were unseasonably warm and dry, and I have no complaints with them. YOu might want to check them out....

That being said, I can't wait for winter to be officially over and get the summers back on the car.

I like my set up.
The stock MSP sub/amp in the back. Custom mounted...even though I used the stock MSP brackets and bolts.
Stock appearence & extremely clean.
Just need to upgrade the stock 8" to something a bit better.

finally finished cleanin my car today (washed it yesterday, put the tire shine on, rain-x, cleaned all the windows, and vacuumed today) only to have it pour rain...never fails tho...never fails
