While blizzaks are great snow tires, they wear exceptionally fast on dry pavement and/or warmer weather. I've got the nokian hakka q's (this is the third winter on them), and they're barely broken in - I probably have 3 more winters out of them anyhow. This is winter, and last winter though not to quite the same extent, were unseasonably warm and dry, and I have no complaints with them. YOu might want to check them out....zverg said:It's my second winter (also the second extremely unseasonably low-snow Rochester winter) here, and last winter when I was home for spring break (third or 4th week of February) I did the swap.
I hope I don't have to put my snows on, but trust me I'm prepared. I have a garage at school so when snow is in the forecast I can swap the snow tires back on. I noticed my Blizzaks are getting near the 1st wear sensor already >_< . November(thanksgiving)-February 2004-2005 and November-January 2005-2006 and they are already done for after this winter. Wow. Oh and last winter I definitely put like 3k miles on them tops because I was living on campus at school.
