I fitted it to the forward most strut tower bolt. If that's not right, uh oh

Decided to part ways with the Magnaflow axleback and go back with a very nice condition/priced MS axleback scored from the FS section..............

Did a good little road trip of about 500+ miles yesterday. About 1300 miles since I replaced the head gasket. So proud of my P5.

Edit: Noticed two odd things. When I press the clutch to go start her up, I hear/feel a clicking. Also Im not use to hills and all that jass, but I noticed I couldnt put it in reverse if I had already started rolling back, why is that?

I don't think there is a synchro to help put the trans in reverse while rolling. Sometimes, while stopped, I can't get my car in reverse and have to let the car roll a few inches so the teeth on the transmission line up and allow it to get into gear. I've hear the noise from my clutch too, it turned into a squeaking and then went away. I'm not sure if there is a grease point on our clutch or not

Oh so reverse acting like that is normal? I had thought it was wear on the synchro from my brother before I bought it. Thats good to know. I saw a rubber boot on the clutch release that sounds like the clicking was from in there. I looked around on the forums here, but Im not sure how or if I should put grease in or around that rubber boot.

The clutch release is contained withing the housing. That boot is a dust cover on the joint. There is an arm that goes inside the housing and pulls the clutch

On the occasions where I have trouble getting her into Reverse, I just keep the brake pedal down and the shifter in neutral and let up off the clutch for about a second, then push the clutch back in and try again. I seem to recall seeing something in the owner's manual about it and that was the suggestion it offered. I think it's probably the same remedy as you're doing, except without rolling the car.

it just clicked into my head that I can cut my own wheel spacers at work, so i should be doing that on friday

no way, the only grease is a light smear on the spline of the input shaft when clutch is replaced, the thrust and spigot bearings are normally sealed units as grease/oil on the clutch will cause it to slip.
Right, so how do I make the clicking stop? Its not like its a problem, just annoying.

Happens to me fairly often. Just pressing the clutch again always lets it go into gear for some reason.
