What have you done to your P5 today?

Seafoamed the poor girl today than took it for a quick spin

Today I gave my P5 an oil change; I love that even though it's at almost 200K KM it doesn't burn any significant amount of oil between changes :D

I also managed to find some decent gas springs at the junk yard to fix my hatch.
Now that the trunk actually stays open on its own I can share a pic of my little sub:

The bungee cords make it easy to move everything around if I need to. The wire leading to the sub is long enough that I can put it anywhere in the trunk. There's also a large molex connector on the wire in case I need to remove the sub entirely.

I've always been a firm believer that when working on your own car, if you don't leave at least a tiny bit of blood and/or knuckle skin behind, you didn't do the job right.

By that standard, replacing these brakes and rotors is the best job I've ever done on anything, ever. And that's despite only getting three wheels done before the umps called a rain delay.

Ive been fighting rust for 2 days now.. changing my springs to TEIN and struts to KYB
90% of the time spent could have been saved if it wasnt for the damn endlinks... I had to get an angle grinder to cut the endlink off!
I used the MOOG ford escape links... those things are BEEFY! ill let you know, im doing the rear tomorrow!

thats probably the hardest thing ive had to do on my car, besides the brakes (seized calipers ofcourse), this really is, an engineering challenge... -_-

Mark...kyle means that cam has his former sweet ms6 wheels that he replaced with your sweet mp3 wheels.

Zhy....i know what you mean. Crazy enough my front endlinks came off with little effort and are still on the car the rear were cut off. When i lowered the car i did it the right way...i went to a nemoc meet. :-)

Today after work i successfully got the camber bolts in. Were still a bi to get afte soaking in pb blaster for the week and with a breaker bar but they gave. Snapped the end off my 1/2 to 3/4 adapter in the process.....first damn time i used it. Lol. Getting the alignment done monday with camber zeroed out so she sts until then.

haha! got it! ....who was that that spent some good time under your car cutting those links off??? :)

Swapped the SSRs back on and tightened one of the wheel bolts that had come loose. Stupid rain coming this week.

MS3 wheels. Yes, he was the original owner and they made their way to me. We have a fun sonic meet late at night and then stopped for some beers

It's been nice this week so I've had my car out and doing more tuning to get a little more power with leaner AFRs. I'm really happy with the difference putting the VICS back in made.

after my 13 hour trip yesterday, i have had it with the drone of my exhaust. got a obx header and magnaflow cat back which has seen plenty of use so im sure its dying (3 winters and 80k from me, then whatever the previous owners had on it). not sure what route to go. I want a little sound but nothing that makes you go mad when on the highway for hours at a time.

time to get a racing beat exhaust!

or something! thinking about a vibrant stealth and keeping the magnaflow resonator in there. i don want to spend a ton of money on it :/. just maintaining the p5 now, no more real modding. i do keep getting compliments on it though which i always like

Starting to look for suspension bits for the wife's P5

Her stock suspension has been good to use the last 103K miles but it's started to fade

SO, after having the Eibach/Tokico blues on my previous P5, that rode far to harsh for her.

SO, are there coilovers with a soft enough setting? Or am I best just getting new OEM shocks?
