What have you done to your P5 today?

HID's with reflectors are good enough for me. And before I need to put my flame suit on, mine are 35watt and I don't get flashed because they're aimed low.

"But, HID's in reflectors are illegal!". Deal with it.

^ I agree with this guy, I'd rather be seen than heard when it comes to my car at night.

I disagree, headlights should not blind on coming drivers. That alone makes the whole idea unsafe in my mind. Loud exhaust on the otherhand is pretty much worthless too. The only time you get to hear your exhaust note is when you let someone else drive your car. Any other time it is just droning that makes everyday driving, in a word exhausting.

I have proper headlight retrofits that do not blind anyone with a proper ballets and 4300k bulbs I do not blind people. Hids in halogen housings are just dumb and pointless. Not to mention Lady hands knows exactly why i made the comment about the exhaust.

My comment was meant for the people that don't do it right and don't care about other drivers, the ones the just want some bright ass headlights. As for lady hands, I know what you mean. The whole "dependable, un-modded, daily driver" speach. Haha!

I wouldn't say they are dumb and pointless. They are an upgrade over the OME bulbs that blow out every month and do a much better job at lighting than the OEM halogens. They are cheap $65 shipped with the proper harness and don't need maintenance.

Yes, retrofits are certainly an upgrade but personally not with the money to me.

Retrofits and Plastidip seem like the latest trend.

Larry, you shoosh! I'm a hypocrite, okay!? haha

Haha, you just hate black wheels...

In my defense, I PC'ed my Konigs on my civic black back in 2000.

Ps- I like Plastidip, don't get me wrong. But I remember the glory days of this thread where some sweet builds and progress were posted. Now it's usually Plastidipped a rear valance or retrofits. But you'll have that when Protege's are cheaper now and anyone who wants real power buys something else. I don't care, I still love my P5 money dumpster. :)

wait aren't you dipping your new to your sp6?

Yes, and I'm not going to post pics every 10mins about some part I painted. I'm painting the whole car, one post/pic and that's it.

This thread used to be some sweet updates. Now it's basically a "What scheduled maintenance did you do to your P5 today". Haha

end rant, I'll shut up now.

Haha, just saw this;

thats cause those pics will be in your super cool Sp6 build thread right? but yea older car means not as much fun.

The P5 being an older car means people like me buy them... That is, high school and college kids. Us peeps don't have money to throw at the cool stuff so we settle for plastidip and retrofits (shrug)

^ I know exactly what you mean. I figured retrofitting projectors was a pretty big upgrade though. At least post worthy in this thread

Oh it is. And it's cool to see you working on them and posting pics.

I'm just a little emo all my friends sold/crashed their Protege's and have Speeds/Subie/Evo's now. Don't mind me.
